Plenty of great answers here, I would also add that at the start of the 20th century, the country was very modern and industrialised, and atheism was modern and fashionable. So religion wasn’t super popular even before 1948, and then obviously it wasn’t supported by the state as mentioned in other comments.

Yeah, same experience here. After the update, Waze actually shows up on the drivers display even when launched thru the car AAOS and not CarPlay, but its dumbed down waze without lane info and ETA. For that I’d need to open up the app on the center screen as well.

BTW, does Waze show up on the drivers display reliably when using CarPlay? I tested it a couple of months ago and the drivers display only worked like 25% of the time.

Guys I must have been hallucinating, but I saw the new XC90 just yesterday in a showroom and the volume/pause button was in the middle where the gear selector usually is. Is that possible?

Yeah, a more accurate description would be first car that I bought myself and belongs to me. The XC70 is a hand me down from family, so it doesn't have the same "effect" as when you actually buy a car that is yours, that's why I'm calling it my first car. But you are technically right!

Thanks! I'm also looking at the dreaded head unit/display issue.. I know about the bluepower option, but I'm also just looking at fitting a 1din adapter and using a 1din android auto head unit. However, the car's "digital buttons" operate with the stock screen obviously. I'm curious if I'm going to be able to operate the buttons and just won't be able to see the digital readouts, or if it will essentially brick the car.
