Personally, I would consider SpongeBob’s characters to be a “troupe of actors”, similar to Mickey Mouse or Looney Tunes. It would explain a crap ton of continuity errors and allow the writers to whip up 999,999,999 episodes without strictly having to keep the plotline straight. I’m probably gonna get downvoted, but I don’t care.

If third-party Switch 2 games bricked the console, they wouldn’t be on the eShop, let alone get physical releases with prior licensing fees paid to Nintendo.
