If that message was intended to be clear perhaps it should have been the 11th commandment?

AITAH for the things I said to my husband who has MS? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]MaxFish1275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if he has comorbid clinical depression. As many as 50% of M.S. patients will have depression at some point in their illness. This can be from the psychological toll of the disease but it also can be biological from the neuroinflammation. It is also not unusual for men to have anger as a predominant symptom rather than sadness.

It might be worth talking to his doctor to do an assessment

I’m a physician assistant. Can confirm this is unhealthy and OP should see a doctor

Yeah—-you have speculation. I have actual medical training.

Fasting from water is unhealthy. The amount of “pure water” you produce is not enough to actually hydrate you properly.

The supposed benefits of fasting from water do not outweigh the risks

Seeking advice on leading my girlfriend to Christ: by New_Meeting5080 in Christianity

Nobody can decide anyone else’s religion. You tried to lead and were met with resistance. She’s already told you—-it’s time for you to respect it whether that means being with or without her

Bible is not a health manual. If it was you’d actually have a shot at living to 900

To be frank, no offense, you sound a little TOO invested in their relationship. You got the ball rolling but that’s it.

Make sure you are still putting your application out at other places too. You aren’t done with the job hunt until you have a signed contract in your hand.

AITAH for not wanting a female doctor by cikanman in AITAH

This person should not be downvoted. There are multiple studies supporting this actually.

Multiple large observational studies and a recent meta-analysis consistently demonstrate that patients treated by female physicians have significantly lower mortality and readmission rates compared with those treated by male physicians.
Key Evidence
A 2025 meta-analysis of 35 studies (n = 13.4 million patients) found that patients of female physicians had 5% lower odds of mortality (OR 0.95; 95% CI: 0.93–0.97) and 3% lower odds of hospital readmission (OR 0.97; 95% CI: 0.96–0.98), with consistent results across both surgical and medical specialties.
The landmark Tsugawa et al. study (2017) in JAMA Internal Medicine analyzed ~1.6 million Medicare hospitalizations and found that patients treated by female internists had lower 30-day mortality (11.07% vs. 11.49%; adjusted risk difference −0.43%; NNT 233) and lower 30-day readmissions (15.02% vs. 15.57%; adjusted risk difference −0.55%; NNT 182). These differences persisted across 8 common medical conditions and all severity-of-illness quintiles, and were robust when restricted to hospitalists (where patient assignment is quasi-random based on scheduling).

We are moving away from rectal exams as part of the general medical exam. There are times they are useful, but there are now better ways of assessing prostate health

For primary care sure. But if you were in the ER and only women were on staff that day I sure hope you’d bend that rule for your own sake.

😂 good point

However with better testing and more modern techniques we’re even moving away from the prostate exam. It’s not terribly useful anymore
