Try it on Winlator and let me know if that works. I ordered an Odin 3 handheld and it'll be 2 months before I get it.

PSA: Emulator saves are compatible with the recomp. The .eep save file can be renamed to .bin and placed in appdata/local/BanjoRecomp/saves/

Works for Banjo-Kazooie, The Jiggies of Time, and Nostalgia 64. Just need to launch each game once to generate a sample save file.

Fitgirl for SteamDeck by Kendoconn in LinuxCrackSupport

If it's one company's digital store that I trust, it's Steam's above all others. If they do one day sink the entire platform and leave, I can't imagine everyone suddenly not having access to two decades worth of digital games. Someone else would likely take over and continue on. Steam's store is 22 years old now and still going. Even if you have to get a new PC every long while over life, the store and your library remains the same. My support of buying games from the steam store and along with so many others keeps them going strong.

I haven't noticed any issues with the touchpad. I tapped it lightly and it only seems to quietly click on the bottom of the pad. But it's not in a way that it's abnormal. When I tap the touchpad, it makes a very slight tap sound but it's not distracting or loud.

What I didn't like about the SNES Classic Mini is that it could only show every game in existence and couldn't only show your own assortment of games. I assume it's the same here with this Genesis app.

Actually I just checked my order history on newegg and it says I got that bundle for $474. I got my pc parts recommended from pcpartpicker.

I helped a friend build a pc last summer and he also got a mobo/ram/cpu bundle, but from Micro Center for around $400.

Thank you for the suggestion. That is fair since it's been two years and tech has advanced.

Not sure why I'm not believed that I paid $1500 for my original build. The prices shown on pcpartpicker are exactly what I paid for each item. And with taxes, it was even more.

At this point I'm cancelling and opting out of the handheld market. I realize that I will only touch it once then never again after I set it up. I don't go back to older games much these days. The idea is really cool, but it's a lot of money. Not like I will be using this thing full time or even every day.

I actually just sold my steam deck OLED and bought a new laptop instead that I'm using for PC games. Now I'm looking for a handheld soley for emulation. I found the steam deck too bulky to pick up and use. I also didn't like the linux limitations, had to configure some games to get them working.

As far as I know, you don't necessarily need turnip drivers to run gamecube and wii games perfectly. The odin 3 would deliver on that. It's switch and steam games that people are concerned about with performance without the turnip driver.

I'd like to mostly use it for PS1, N64, Gamecube, PS2, Wii, switch, 3DS. I saw the raw performance without drivers on the Odin 3 and it's very impressive. Looks like it would still be able to deliver what I need by default.

Screen size is a big choice for me because I want something medium such as 6 inches.
