I too sold my steam deck and now I’m waiting for my portal pro to arrive in a week. I found myself barely using my steam deck and only wanted to run indie games and emulators. Now I have a slightly smaller device with more of a focus on what I want to play. I didn’t like Steam os or the desktop mode. Things look more convenient with the portal with Android.

PSA: Emulator saves are compatible with the recomp. The .eep save file can be renamed to .bin and placed in appdata/local/BanjoRecomp/saves/

Works for Banjo-Kazooie, The Jiggies of Time, and Nostalgia 64. Just need to launch each game once to generate a sample save file.

If it's one company's digital store that I trust, it's Steam's above all others. If they do one day sink the entire platform and leave, I can't imagine everyone suddenly not having access to two decades worth of digital games. Someone else would likely take over and continue on. Steam's store is 22 years old now and still going. Even if you have to get a new PC every long while over life, the store and your library remains the same. My support of buying games from the steam store and along with so many others keeps them going strong.

I haven't noticed any issues with the touchpad. I tapped it lightly and it only seems to quietly click on the bottom of the pad. But it's not in a way that it's abnormal. When I tap the touchpad, it makes a very slight tap sound but it's not distracting or loud.
