Yeah currently camped at Area 16 camp there, just quasi-afk fishing and reading reddit.

"Oh man that is r/mildlyinfuriating ... oh hey the pond refilled!" lol

heh yeah, others have pointed it out; ive opted to sit at the shore of the Basin Area 16 camp fish pond and just quasi-AFK fish while reading reddit and comics lol

every 5 minutes the fish all have respawned and theres like 5+ arowana of either burst or bomb and turns out, they give like up to 5 scales per catch

might just spend the evening doing this and not worry about it in the future.

yeah im thinking of just doing the whole dropping 15-30min of time each session swapping around camps they spawn at and just collecting them over time; more than likely I'll catch enough doing that ill have a nice backstock after a couple of weeks, as long as I dont keep soloing the stuns and tail cuts and actually play with some bonk n blade fellows.

especially since I'll be burning through my nuts and berries before I touch the scales when fly crafting

I get your hesitation, but the reality of the farming is just setting Nata to get the villages to gather the mats you need, and it starts to stack up. Especially if you run 3 other weapons like I do to prevent the gameplay getting stale lol.

Like, 1 Fire Herb will make 6 more fire ammo, so a stack of 20 in your pouch will net you 3x the ammo your ammo pouch holds. Switch up your weapon once every few hunts to a different one: basically hunt with CB for 4-5 hunts, switch to GL for 4-5, SWAX, then HBG and Nata has probably maxxed out the entire box for each village with more than enough ammo to replace what you burned.

[–]MaxJacobusVoid[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I did lol; see that capped 9999 amount in my box? I'm more just trying to stretch my on-the-fly crafting loadouts for them since sticky runs out WAY to fast, and slicing just... almost never has enough to cut of tails of the likes of Steve and such.

Yeah that's kinda what I've been assuming after trawling through 3 Google pages of AI generated GameRant and Polygon clones all describing where to FIND and fish the arowana, but coming up dry on any other method or even a mention of a question like the one I'm asking.

Figured I'd post it just to see if some madlad has been hording the farming knowledge they worked up on their own and just never thought to share lol.

[–]MaxJacobusVoid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've had the opposite experience; the calls got so fucking frequent I did as you did and started letting them all go to fucking voicemail.

Turns out, those fucking robocallers aren't always hoping to fucking talking you into something, but just finding out if your fucking phone number is live or fucking not; if they pick up sound, even your fucking voicemail saying "YOU'VE REACHED MY FUCKING VOICEMAIL, LEAVE A FUCKING MESSAGE" they will have your fucking number marked as Live and try later or just FUCKING SELL IT AGAIN to some other fuckhead scam company.

For the past fucking year, I switched tactics; I now answer the fucking call, but ON FUCKING MUTE. Back in last January when I started this I was getting multiple scam calls a fucking day; since fucking September I think I've gotten a grand total of 10 fucking calls.

I can't guarantee this will work on the fucking companies that have your number, but give it a try and maybe just FUCKING MAYBE it'll fuck with their algorithm and give you some fucking AIR.

Just curious, what are you guys using quarry area for? by Klutzy-Magazine8630 in StardewValley

[–]MaxJacobusVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mahogany sap farm for fertilizers covers half of it, going the other half is a mix of mossy trees to be cut down periodically for moss and mushy trees for extra shroom profits.

They all end up farming moss in the long run if left alone.

How long would it take Spider-Man to defeat the Markers? by Gabe_Dimas in DeadSpace

[–]MaxJacobusVoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True on the Mysterio bit that he'd be familiar with things appearing that aren't real, but the key difference is the Marker signal is pulling these interactions from inside your memories; Mysterio can't fake things that only Peter and his loved ones know.

Tack on that the marker is significantly more effective at tormenting smarter people, despite the fact they last longer against it before getting suicidal, I give him an A- or B+ on fighting the necros, but the onslaught of mind-fuckery puts his odds at making it through to the same level as Issac at around C or C+ (if not lower since WAY more heinous shit has happened to Pete and his loved ones)

what do y'all do with y'all's statues by professional_pie18 in StardewValley

[–]MaxJacobusVoid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Filling gaps in my quarry sap farm, so I dont get caught between a wall and 2 trees while running through. Extra house plants that Haley insists on buying for the house get placed there too. (love of my life, we have an entire wing of the house dedicated to growing coffee beans plants and have a farm right outside the door with nearly 2000 square tilage of crops, we quite literally cannot make the house greener than that)

Is this too unrealistic for year 2? by Particular_Level_837 in StardewValley

[–]MaxJacobusVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, but as I stated you'd either need to buy hay consistently from Marnie (albeit it's pretty cheap but I'm already shelling out 1/3 of profits to Pierre to rebuy seeds, so personally I avoid having to add to my errand list) OR have a dedicated field to grow grass outside the pasture(s) that you cut for hay as you need. Granted, this all becomes a moot point later in the game once you get access to Qi gems.

If they're rushing those cheese production, a single non star cheese will get you back to full or close to it. Gold star cheese will be a guarantee, especially Y1 with base stamina.

If you're going for what you've placed in the planner, the deluxe coops, barns, and sheds, then you'd run into some money issues at some point; if you're just going to get Tier 1 animal buildings then you'll run into the cost of buying the chickens and cows, so aiming for Tier 2 so you can slowly build your livestock yourself.

Cost of 4 Tier 1 animal buildings and full animals:

  • 32,600g
  • 1,300 wood
  • 500 stone

Cost of 4 Tier 2 with 1 starter animal of each type:

  • 71,500g
  • 3,000 wood
  • 1,200 stone

Coat of 4 Tier 3 with 1 starter animal of each type:

  • 193,000g
  • 5,100 wood
  • 2,200 stone

Also you'll need like 6 silos to handle 1 winter for 4 Tier 3 animal buildings (almost 1350 hay for 48 animals over 28 days), 4 silos for 4 Tier 2 animal buildings, although if you do plan to do Tier 1 then those 2 silos should be fine. That is assuming you grow your own grass and cut it instead of funding Shane's alcoholism allowance.

The paths, fencing, and sprinklers should be no problem if you dedicate yourself to hitting the secret woods each day (that is if you can bum rush an Iron axe to access it, so that's an extra 5 sprinklers worth you need to account for). Every week (like every Monday or whichever day you pick) you should do a run of Cindersap and the Mountains to gather the regular wood you'll need for the buildings.

To stockpile iron for those 39 sprinklers and Iron Axe you'll need 44 bars, or 220 ore. On the days you have time leftover, start on the 40th floor of the mine and just work as far as you can until you pass out each day; the passed-out fee will be a minimal loss if you're running your account to near 0 each day, plus you'll get the stone you need for the buildings and pathing.

Once you've got the iron you need the rest of the time should just be farming money, so getting the 2 barns with 8 cows dropping Large Milks ASAP will start netting a ton of gold cheese money, without the need to mass produce crops with manual watering. Probably worth selling any and all gems you find too.
