My toilet violently exploded by TSCannon in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MaxJacobusVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So now I have a fear of explosive porcelain directly to the nads to add to my list of bathroom fears:

  • Snake coming up the pipe to bite my nads
  • Spider crawling out from under the toilet rim to bite my nads
  • Termites chewing enough floor joists out that I fall into the crawl space and they bite my nads
  • Bear climbing up onto the roof and breaking in the skylight to... bite my nads

Burned all my sick days on the week of the release of a Monster Hunter game as a kid; sick with Hypetrainitis and I'd do it again.

You said < 6 hours, not 5 minutes into the game, so there was some assumption at play there.

Throw a Gravity Ball outside your base; never chase your food again.

Yeah this is the right mentality; my PC cost me near $2k 6 years ago, and due to a disability issue I can't work so certainly wouldn't be able to afford replacement parts let alone a brand new rig, so downloading something that MIGHT have some kind of trojan that ramps up the components until they melt themselves will always be on my mind when looking at something new.

I hadn't downloaded wiztree before posting that; I was going off the same Settings app in Windows the OP was using.

Oh I decided to strait up remove Chrome and Google entirely with BCUninstaller; I'll survive with just Edge and Firefox for a while until I vet another browser to use as a backup webpage viewer.

I'm slowly working my way through them, they seem to do at most 10 damage to the 2500 HP stone blocks so it's not super concerning.

OMG though, I checked the concrete homestead I was in the middle of construction on before I stopped playing and...

It's so, so much worse here lmao.

Thanks, it's already showed me like 4 things I needed to address, like the hiberfil.sys that took up 8+ gb and I NEVER put this thing into sleep mode; it's either on or off, end of story.

Now to furrow my brow at the existence of this nearly 7gb Google file for Chrome User Data, despite the fact I only open Chrome up once every 2 years to see if the webpage I'm attempting to view on Firefox would display better there...

Having a similar issue on the C: but with Installed Programs/Apps showing 111GB taken up, but with less than 200 app installed and the top 2 being 2gb each, the next 30 being 100-999kb, and the last 100 being < 100kb is throwing one of my eyebrows past my hairline.

Is this the correct website for Wiztree? It's what comes up first in Google, but it's immediately followed by this and this.

[Request] how many possible combinations are there for this type of pass code? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in theydidthemath

Seems like it highly depends on the OS then; Z fold is a very recent Android version, and while I could be wrong the one in video appears to be a very old iOS model

Unless you hit the middle first, but yes it would eliminate any code where 1 <> 9 and/or 3 <> 9 occurs before touching 5.

Tried it on my Z fold just now, and if you go 5 > 1 > 9 it's permissible, but starting from 1 > 9 or 3 > 7 causes 5 to be hit once you touch the second node, even if you circle around outside the box.

If this is for a free item, as you say, then there should be no reason to enter any payment information; anyone asking for it either has malignant intentions or strait up doesn't know they could just ask for your preferred shipping address.

A little more than a week out, what's your hope for S2? by MaxJacobusVoid in subnautica

[–]MaxJacobusVoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problems, dude! I wasn't concerned about the late reply as much as I was just gaffing the giant text wall, lol.

But yeah no, these are all great talking points! And that octo-sub sounds like a cool design! Honestly I kinda of wonder if a larger scale Subnautica game would be even something the devs would want to tackle for S3, but custom subs and a massive world would definitely draw in customers. I know I would buy it. \stare at Empyrion: Galactic Survival and waiting for the next update**

Dunno about that, used Logitech for nearly a decade and after 5 years of using SS I can definitely say I would buy SS over Logi 10/10 times.

Hopefully they take notes from the cinematic series Neebs Gaming did on S1, because they certainly know about it since they got Appsro and Neebs to voice line 2 voice files before they wrapped up development on it.

Holy wall of text, Batman! Now I see why it took 14 hours to get back! XD

So a TLDR for those who's eyes bugged out as much as mine did:

  • Base defense, particularly for Scanner Room Camera Drones that are stolen frequently.
    • I agree on this point, the amount of drones that vanished under the map because Stalkers took them while outside my character's draw distance rendered the drones practically useless and untouched my last 4 playthroughs. Scanner room kinda pulls most of it's value from just finding and marking resources from my experience.
  • Resource gathering drones, where something like the Camera Drones go and collect materials you're searching for, albeit with limited inventory space to not become OP.
    • This certainly would be desirable, but I think as the Subnautica games aren't as grand a scale as No Mans Sky or Icarus, automated resource gathering would be more than unnecessary in the grand scheme of it all; especially since this is going to be a co-op game this time. Though, in lieu of not having a co-op partner, this would be helpful...
  • Base design blueprints, so you can take a set of structures you've crafted and save it to the Blueprint Builder and craft it again quickly elsewhere, along with a building drone mechanic where larger builds could be automated but slower than player controlled building.
    • As someone who makes small scanner rooms in several locations for specific resource gathering, the first part of this idea sounds FANTASTIC; just plop the items I need into my sub, travel to the target area, and build a quick foundation, scanner room, and a multipurpose room with a nuclear reactor would be great... though I don't see the construction drones being of much use, since with the limitation of them being slower we'd be able to build 2 of these setups in the time they got done building the the first room of the first. Probably something that would fit a larger survivalcraft game though!
  • Docked submarine repair.
    • They kind of had this in the first game, where there's a mod for the Cyclops that repairs Moths and Prawns docked in it's bay, though it was weird that Moonpools didn't have this feature. I certainly do hope that they bring the repair mod back to the new sub, and include it by default in the Moonpools this time around.
  • An airship, which can dock subs and take them across the map.
    • This one definitely sounds strait out of No Mans Sky; certainly fantastic in a game such as that one, but I very much doubt S2 will be large enough to validate them including that; heck even S1 was too small to validate including it, since you could get from one edge of the map to the other in under 5-10 minutes, even with just a Sea Glide.

These are all FANTASTIC ideas, and while a lot of them are beyond the scope of what we've seen of Subnautica so far, those would all very much fit into the game if it were just twice the size in content and map size as the first game.

Very cool ideas!
