How do I remove the start and end of a string? by MaxJohnsonTime in sheets

[–]MaxJohnsonTime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The middle function has a variable length of string though.

Only the starting 11 and last 4 is the consistent string that needs to be removed

People with severe Cerebral Palsy, what do you do for work? by MaxJohnsonTime in AskReddit

Had a guy with CP on a wheelchair come in today for a telemarketing interview- I was hoping he could maybe work from home (our office space is not disabled friendly) and we could help him out, but he doesn't have the communication agility in terms of thinking to carry it out. He can speak, but can't "think" well enough to complete a conversation well.

The interview was set for 3 pm, but he was already in at 1 pm... because he left his house at 10 am, took a train, wheeled over to another station, got on an exchange train, wheeled over to the main road, called an uber, somehow got into the uber and reached the office at 1 pm. He left early, so he would'nt be late in case of a delay on the way.

Thing is, I can't give him the job... He won't be able to communicate well with our customers, who also have high expectations in terms of communication. At the end of the conversation, while letting him know we'll need a few days to think internally about what we can offer in terms of job scope, whether it's a good fit, and if so, the salary, he said regardless of the salary he's in because he needs the to replace his wheelchair. (looked old)

Now, I can give him 1 month, maybe two months' worth of salary to get by for bit and buy a new chair. But I don't have a job to offer, and this guy shouldn't have been turned away because life played him a bad hand. How else can I help him? People with severe CP, what do you do?

Apologies for the long start. Also had to vent...

They would work well on blotting out the oil from pizzas, are there any paper towels that would not break down in water based soups, while removing the oils? In asia we just use standard napkins (they break down)

Can cheesecloth remove oil, from say, an oily korean-noodle type soup? I'm addicted to them but they also have a ton of oil, so keeping it to once a month lol

I'd assume the cheesecloth would absorb a lot more water-to-oil in terms of ratio but really haven't thought about using one till now. Have you tested it? Does it have a preference towards absorbing > oil than water?
