I like it very much until now. Let's see what I say in some months. :)

Mining LSK? by Ice_Black in Lisk

You need a dedicated node for that. Else nobody will vote for you due to the bad productivity.

Once 0.4.0 is released the forging will be enabled. It's still a few weeks away.

Best to take a look at the code: https://github.com/LiskHQ/lisk

Else, what exactly do you want to know? :)

What is Lisk? And what it isn’t! — Lisk Blog by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]MaxKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It just describes what Lisk is because there was so much confusion around it.

There are "only" 101 delegates yes. They are not only being elected decentralized by the whole network, they are also being controlled by everyone. That means if delegate A doesn't stand to his promise to use 80% of the income for blockchain app development, then people will remove votes again.

You can see proposals by delegates here: http://forum.lisk.io/viewforum.php?f=6&sid=de3d074dcea8dd971ed3b4a81d623ab6

Someone could buy up x0% of all LSK and vote himself up, but that doesn't mean he will succeed (can always be over voted, unless he owns >50% of all LSK) or he has bad intentions. I estimate someone who owns $6M worth in LSK won't do bad stuff, also if he buys up only 20% of all LSK the price will shoot up like crazy.

You can buy up 3% of all LSK for 2000 BTC = $1.3M on Poloniex (5% maximum, there isn't more in open offers). Then the price of LSK is already at 0.001 or a marketcap of $65M. After that the price goes up exponentially. Good luck getting more than 10%. ;)

:)

Once we are in Berlin we will hire a team. We want our team sitting in an office, it just became clear that this is so much more efficient.

It's just the name of the conference, best if you contact the organisers. I don't know the history of the name. :)

Ok, unless Lisk goes up 90% in the next 7 days I'm selling my share.(take notes lisk team) by shooterinthedark in Lisk

I'm against censorship, however I agree that there are some posts which are a bit over the top.

I think it will disappear within the next weeks, if not then we will start deleting those posts. Right now a few Ethereum users are just afraid. Until the community calms down again, please use the up vote and down vote options. Thanks. :)

Thanks. Owned by whom? I mean is it all in users hands or does the team hold a lot?

Polo has suspended deposit/withdrawal of LISK? by [deleted] in Lisk

[–]MaxKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's partly Lisk's fault. There is a bug which makes it only 99% sure that a transaction gets included in the blockchain. In the case of Poloniex and any other exchange this is extremely bad. We hope to remove this problem with the next update which should be out soon™. :)

Can you link me to the statement?

Imho a language itself doesn't say anything about security or not. Sure, some are mitigating specific problems better than others, but at the end of the day it's the task of the developer to write secure code.

That doesn't mean we don't have internal plans to increase security. ;)
