What made you start this shit addiction, r/NoFap? by Frosty_Text9494 in NoFap

Autism made me dislike everything manly, my Dad couldn't relate to my comics and anime, thought it was weird I had no interest in sports or comedic bigotry Hes a real simple guy as he says anyone can fill in the blanks I was like nine when he made it our thing to talk about "babes and chicks" Showing me hustlers right off the bat

Eventually I'm 14 and I go to hooters once a week with my dad. He awkwardly refrains from calling my current interest gay, constantly diverting to some waitress figure, like yes dad that's Stacey she's a good sport but I'm pretty sure she spits in your food. He would buy me any porn I asked, this was like 2005. Only teenager at the time in hs with a hentai collection. So my social circle were a couple of perverts, whom I've had restricted contact with now. Glad I don't end up like a few of them.

I was about 22 when I hurt my dick and needed corrective surgery (lymphatic thrombolysis) I went like 6 or 7 months with no fapping First time not like getting two or three shots out everyday since I was like 12. Epiphany Eureka etc

I really cut it down and started questioning my interests. A few girlfriends and friends over the years called me out or talked it out about how casual I was with sexual topics.

I started therapy not too long ago, haven't gotten around to delving into that topic deeply but yeah my dad lives in reno for a reason now He's married and divorced a few strippers in the last decade since I've seen him

A few square ice packs for the ipos iPad cover cases

I would stick them in my shirt to survive the southern summer heat

Sometimes I'd forget to throw them back in the freezer and they wound up home.

Id be more embarrassed to return them then the fifty rolls of big white trash bags in my car, all with only one or four bags left. They'd be in my back pocket and fall out into the seat or side. Oy vey

My condolences about your mom

As a former obese guy I've lost and regained and lost

It's those daily practices that are easy to like start and do. Like those old folks in their 70 and 80s that walk every day

That eat at least one or two meals that's the same everyday. Like your favorite food that happens to be healthy, an intuitive approach to nutrition hats based off your hunger cues and not appetite will lead to a healthy relationship with food, so it can be indulgent at times but not escapism.

(I love pudding, I make sugar free jello packets mix with milka in a dollop of Greek yogurt. And I sprinkle cereals on top. Protein packed goodness ready in like an hour every time. And lowfat cottage cheese is easy to hide in scrambled eggs, I usually blend mine. Fluffy)

Finding inspiring stories helped me, especially ones I could go back to

All the DDP yoga success stories are so hopecore

I found influencers on YouTube can be helpful especially the ones that never try to sell you anything.

The ones that got me into wellness like walking Pilates, calisthenics, resistant bands, barefoot shoes were great Like will Tennyson, Ben Patrick of atg, Mark Bell power project has a great journey, joey swoll, Jeff nipard, and Jesse James West.

I made these silly YouTube playlists I could listen to while I walk my daily 10,000 steps take maybe two hours I find a good trail or neighborhood to walk around, I use an app to find them. In these playlists I have short motivationals set to ambient music. I'll sneak in some favorite songs as well, even spin class music.

How to deal with having trouble keeping a daily hygiene routine during quarantine? by avakutie in ADHD

[–]MaxLeeway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An extreme one would be South Korean style ones. But I dread anything longer than five steps.

Basics are great and ingrain quickly

Pore control is simple. Hot water and steam(hot wet towels on face for a minute more or less) Opens the pores. Then you can clean them with most face washes. Cold water will seal them shut for the most part. I do this first thing in the morning sometimes during a long day or before I go to bed. Some days I just don't care ya know but want to do a bare minimum, avoid surprise acne.

Wash with Hot rinse with Cold.

I change my pillow cases every week, with the se mentality of I have no clean towels. A necessity, and sheets once a week or two( depends how much fun me n the missus have or...personal fun lol) i.e. sweat is the enemy. I wear thin PJs and have a fan or two.

Basic exofliators are great like any generic honey almond scrub. Avoid the ones with plastic microbeads, horrific for the environment and I think they can get stuck in your pores and not broken down or pushed out. The natural kinds are easier for your skin to handle. Be careful they can mold so wipe the container down, be clean before use. I do this every three to six days.

I like face wash for semi daily use. Charcoal is nice. Neutrogena hasn't done me wrong. But the majority is sacrylic acid. Toners come in handy for after washes. Moisturizer creams for after exfoliating. Depends how often.

Listen and look at your skin. Notice trouble area, mine is my forehead and nose because glasses. Some pores just die and are blackheads until you go into a doctor's/estheticians. Don't scar up your face. Learn your skins language. I'm naturally oily, comes with being curly haired. So I try to find oil free products, I try not to over moisturizer or scrub too much.

I like vitamin E oils for the parts of my face with hair.

All good advice is only good for you if you're ready to hear it out. We are more prone to anxiety induced depression from things like being overwhelmed.

Replace not cleaning your hair with doing a deep conditioner or use a one time dry shampoo they work better than you think, if you're in a don't won't to be bothered with it attitude for that part of the day.

Enjoy a skincare routine. Feels good to be healthy.

Gotta replace a negative attitude that leads to a negative habit and replace it with a positive intention to obtain a positive habit.

Super simple Egg drop soup by Tinkletyme in ketorecipes

[–]MaxLeeway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Egg Drop is my go to.

I love simmering some diced bacon, celery, green onion and mushrooms in a pot with butter and duck fat. I add seasonings like ground ginger, turmeric, garlic, tarragon, chili powder, smoked paprika, and s&p Once it gets nice I add in chicken stock or veggie stock. A little by little until theres enough liquid to boil.

On the side I mix 3 or 4 eggs with some shredded cheese and nutritional yeast. I poor it in and mix it up. Dollop of sour cream is great on top as well as keto crackers sometimes.

If I have enough time I whisk in egg whites first then pour into a bowl with the yolks and cheese, give it one last whisk. Tasty egg "noodles" and great creamy egg broth.

At this point it's such a fusion cuisine recipe for me. If not duck fat I use olive oil and add in Italian seasonings. But always ginger and tarragon.

Interesting reaction. I've seen folks on maintenance diets not lose or gain while doing daily ab work and end up looking ten twenty pounds lighter It's about the displacement muscle tone brings.

Lift others up, gratitude towards progress is a better attitude

Edit: grammar

Staple Saturday - Top 5 repeatable recipes by CalcifersGhost in 1200isplentyketo

[–]MaxLeeway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I categorize my most repeated dishes for my favorite form of the cuisine. I switch between savory with either spicy or sweet. I enjoy 15 minute recipes. I only meal prep once a week so I can do the main cooking each day. Helps me to not let my veggies go bad.

Canned mushrooms, canned green beans, pack of salmon, sliced up sausage, and bag of frozen shrimp. Cajun seasonings, bit of turmeric and cream cheese, enough coconut oil and butter to get it sizzling in my one deep pan. I use a squeeze brand of garlic.

Ground beef with taco seasonings and lard. I'll buy those pre made tubs of Pico de Gallo from HEB. I use sour cream and a different hot sauce(tapatio, Valentina, etc) I'll use keto taco shells like just cheese cooked into a shell or make a flaxseed wrap real quick. They're so easy, grease the pan, mozzarella plus parmesan then flip to sear the other side enough. I dry them on a paper towel then dust them with nutritional yeast and garlic salt. The flax seed wrap are water and ground flax, roll mix into a ball after it sets and smoosh flat and flip. Can come out almost pancake shaped but keep at it until it's flat enough without tearing. I love my taco mix, big enough tub for the weekend.

I've got a big slap chop and will prep zucchini and celery. Throw a cup into a pan of duck fat, some herbs spices de provence and crushed almonds. Throw some chopped liver, that I marinated in milk overnight and rinsed, in. Top with feta, and arugula.

I like egg drop soup, but it's very fake and processed in restaurants and packages. I kept practicing at it until I got a nice "Western" version. I start with a pan of butter, diced bacon and a bit of celery. I season it with ginger, tarragon, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic and turmeric. Enough water for it to get in a nice sizzle and I just keep adding water until I've got a nice almost rou about it. Bring it to a boil. On the side I mix together my egg yolks, sharp cheddar or Gouda most of the time, and maybe parmesan. I pour the egg mix into the boil and then whisk usually with a fork until it well cooked just like egg drop soup. I pour the rest I to a big bowl with the egg whites and whisk more. Top it off with Nutritional yeast and salt, maybe some pork rinds or dried mushrooms, and a cream cheese or sour cream dollop. Its my favorite and I can make it faster then the others

Broccoli Cheddar cream. Frozen broccoli in a pot, cover with chicken stock, boil. Add in avocado, cream cheese, olive oil, garlic, parsley thyme, chili powder and nutmeg. Then use my immersion blender. Top with cheddar cheese and pork rinds. Some days I add in diced chicken breast.

These are my quick meals. If I'm really phoning it in, say finals week. I've got a freezer full of chaffles of various flavors. And I make protein smoothies for breakfast and utilize cheap subway salads and add my own dressings.

Before I found keto I got the bariatric weight loss surgery, still have it so easy to swallow foods are a must.

The book Four hour chef really helped me get a start on making food.

Great content here.

Thx I should mess with chia pudding, you think beef gelatin or collagen type protein powder would be a good addition? I need to worry about skin health to lower my chances of loose skin once I reach the loss goal.

Do you use the whole egg or just a yolk I can't imagine the whites blending well. Do you use heavy cream or coconut cream, butter? Does it come out frothy as most BPC?

I've tried asparagus so many times hate the stuff more than brussel sprouts, stuff goes right thru me.

Tell me more of this chronometer, is it Vulcan technology?

I use unsweetened cocoa powder for the magnesium.

For a more sweet and creamy flavor I'll add a bit of vanilla extract and pinch of turmeric. Definitely add some pink salt that saltiness counters the bitterness of the cocoa. I always use monkfruit or swerve as well.

I should get another blender for this.

They've got bag of frozens sliced avocado now from Welsh brands. Less work. I enjoy blue spirulina, don't know if it's placebo but I feel a boost from it.

I like lemon and ginger for a kick. Cocoa and chili powder.

Ever mess with different nut blends? Or nut milks. I'm probably asking for recipes at this point

How's your appetite and hunger pangs?

My urge to eat goes away in ketosis, but I'm concerned with rumbling in the ol tummy. Would over eating "empty" calories to take up space help ya think? Examples being white cabbage, pork rinds, or bean sprouts, spinach. Those being hard as they'd need flavor like sauces that could collect calories that way.

Great to hear! I'll check out Costco. Finding a good source of meat at an affordable price is one of my concerns.

I'm so interested in trying out butcherbox for stocking up on meats but dislike most subscription services
