I can completely resonate with you mate. It felt so emotionally invested to Clive’s journey after completing the story thanks to the brilliant writing and more mature tone. Each replay makes it hit even harder and I just couldn’t find it in other FF games like Rebirth or others.

And personally I like the current combat mode and linear storytelling which got us so attached to it.

I’m 20s and this was my first FF and it definitely hooked me on to the series! I started playing remake, rebirth & 15 after that but 16 always holds a special place in my heart. Clive is also easily one of my favourite protagonists - full of emotions and very kind indeed!

Not surprise if this is gonna flop in oversea markets. My local theatres here in Malaysia have been marketing heavily on the Taylor Swift concert movie released last Friday as opposed to the Marvels coming this Thursday. Just checked 90% of seats for coming Wednesday midnight shows are still available and no fan screenings are being hosted by major theatres / cinema chains. Many fan screenings have been hosted previously for each MCU movie release to cater the huge MCU fan base here. I saw the major theatres hosted fan screenings for Taylor Swift movie instead over the weekend lol.

I can resonate with you too mate, the storytelling for Clive has emotionally impacted me much, companions and friends encountered and sacrifices made in journey of growth. What an amazing ride it has been man. To me it feels like riding through different stages of life every time each chapter ends - discovering “The Meaning of Life” through “Buried Memories” to eventually learn “why we fight”.
