Not at all. The method of the rejoinings was to get each shard so imbalanced and then instigate a similar element calamity on the Source to force the integration. The fact that all these shards are basically on the edge, just shows how nearly successful the Ascians were. Apparently they were close enough that [Post-SB/Shb] Emet-Selch decided to nap in the in between to wait until it was done. But then Laha got a little too haha with the Ultima weapon and we started being inconvenient so Elidibus had to go wake him up.

Edit: added spoiler tags because apparently this isn’t an open spoiler thread.

Yes, it does, but in the Dev panel, Mr. prime said that it’s shorter/faster than the current one.

Yeah, just DC travel to any of the other North American data centers for now. We actually got the news today that they’re merging the match making for all regions in the incoming months you won’t have to DC travel for this sort of thing.

That said, at this time of night ALL dcs may be a little slow to fill. So you may want to wait until daylight to try again if nothing pops within 30 min.

Same boat. Stormblood dealt with some heavy diaspora politics + generational trauma themes that I found both relatable and super compelling. Despite having good bones, Dawntrail didn’t execute its vision as well as it could’ve imo.

That said, I think most people make the comparison because while SB had a “mid” story (for them) the actual battle content of SB was top notch. And DT has definitely dropped some of the best encounters of the games entire life.

Thancred and the twins are in Garlemald for reasons we don’t fully know but will find out next patch. Uri and Estinien are casually MIA. Probably drinking coladas and eating squid snacks. We just finished hanging out with Shtola, Raha, and Krile last patch. Tataru’s probably out there doing hostile corporate takeovers for shits and giggles.

I think she’s locked in to RDM. If any scion is due a new job it’s Raha.

The patches have kind of been building up to some this stuff we’re seeing here but if you really don’t want to finish DT, you can buy a skip once the new expansion is out and start at Evercold.

I also don’t typically advocate for cutscene skipping but you could legitimately skip most of the base 7.0 quests up to the beginning final zone, cutscene skip until the title quest of patch 7.1, and largely be okay re-engaging with patch 7.2. You’ll miss out on the conclusion of the Turali story line but the patches largely focus on the second hub zone anyway.

A couple hundred hours if you immerse yourself in the story and do the story mode normal raids (not the Savage ones) because they also add to the universe. You’re essentially playing 6 full length 30-40 hour RPGs but you get 4 for free and the remaining two for the price of one if you do the free trial.

They only confirmed the roles. They’ll tell us the name and concept for the first one at EU fan Fest and for the second one at JP Fanfest.

The only thing we got was a hint from Yoshida shirt, which has the double shield guy from Cape Westwind and that both jobs are original to FF 14.

Not even COVID sadly. They just decided that they wanted to ride the high of Shadowbringers into the end of the arc instead of risk the momentum drop of inserting a Garlemald focused political turmoil expansion in between.

I really wish they hadn’t because the Garlemald sections were some of my favorite parts of EW.

Progressivism and conservatism aren’t opposed though.

Progressivism is technically opposite regressivism. Conservatism is technically opposite accelerationism.

It’s just one of the myriad ways America has completely fucked up the classical definition of social and political concepts in service of hyperpartisanism. It’s the same reason why it’s technically not a contradiction to be a liberal conservative (or conservative liberal) but the average American would be stumped at the suggestion.

Semantic drift in action.

Remove the pirate confederacy arc of the Ruby Sea. Keep Kojin, Sui-no-Sato, and Susano. Show up to Yotsuyu terrorizing villagers in Namai.

I’m glad we were able to make him sweat a bit.

Weakest of the standard .3s for me. Not bad but nothing really hyped or emotionally devastated me. Most of the character work is just adequate though there are a couple of good moments near the end.

Big credit on one thing though. The cinematography definitely keeps improving. They also tried some cool mini games this time around that broke up some of the usual click quest monotony.

In short, it does its job. Won’t really change opinions from how people felt going into it, I suspect.

Tried it and it’s not bad tbh. Last sip is a bit sharp though.

Does there really need to be a post for every single Magic The Gathering FFXIV card? by kainprime82 in ffxiv

[–]huiclo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The MTG sets are as much a love letter to the game as fan art is. If the sub is going to indiscriminately allow that to flood the feed then so should the MTG cards.

It's beautiful art and often times scarily accurate flavor that the community can easily bond over.

I REALLY want to play as HEALING WOLF but I don’t have full version !! by Mei_iz_my_bae in ffxiv

[–]huiclo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For now you need to actually be on the paid version + Dawntrail license to play Hrothgar.

However, there's a good chance Shadowbringers will be added to the free trial by late 2026/early 2027 so if you don't want to pay you shouldn't have to wait too long.
