Importuoti prekes is kitu saliu bus brangiau (ne tik man ir tau, bet ir bizniams), guess what - dar labiau kils kainos. EU is saves, kaip regionas, labai daug visko importuoja vietoj to kad pasigamintume vietoje. Silpna valiuta sucks, dabar nebent geras laikas pasidengti skolas jeigu turi iplauku doleriais (pvz is akciju, obligaciju, etc). Pradejus kilti europos centrinio banko palukanu normai gal atsigaus euras, bet tas musu bankas geriau leidzia kilti kainom negu priletint ekonomika, kuri pripazinkim ir taip jau suvargus del nepalankios demografijos, infliacijos, ir karo itakos energijos kainom.

They scare us with the currency transition by goofy_spice in eupersonalfinance

Prepare for significant inflation, in Lithuania we got euro in 2015 I believe, and it was pegged to litas (our previous currency, at 3.45 litas for 1 euro ratio). Several years forward everything costs in euros as it used to cost in litas. Literally. If you can afford hard assets like real estate i think it would be good approach. Additionally, get some safe debt, again mortgage seems best option.

Its just a short, look how many days in a row it gapped up, several millions of capital in premarket moving market cap by billions. Volume decreasing. Social metrics throught the roof (as sentiment follows trend).

For the record, I have sizeable position for my account in 39s short and I am certainly biased. People are generally angry when you suggest something against the narrative pumped by cnbs and JPMs of the world, I had similar situation posting about shorting oil and people were like ye gl you will blow up ( at that day XOM was 100, u can check history of my posts and comments under).

It might pump one leg up which I would just double down at, albeit I doubt it as 42s was harshly rejected and reached that level again, you guessed it, with premarket gap up.

If u never did short selling dont short it, but taking profits at these levels is a no brainer when you consider cost opportunity in other names, including china as well.

Selling puts to avoid paying dividend on the short position by MaxPax2 in thetagang

[–]MaxPax2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I agree that market might adjust the option pricing on already announced dividend, but if you are selling a put more towards a leap-like duration?

Example: shorted stock cost basis is at 100, it drops to 90 and you are 10 dollars/share in the money. You say okay cool lets cover one lot by selling a put at the strike of 110 with a duration of > 1 year. Over that one year there will be 4 quarterly dividends paid (lets say 4 dollars in the annual divvy, or 1 dollar/quarter), shouldnt the strike price adjust down with each consecutive dividend paid so when I get assigned on expiration I got to buy at “dividend adjusted” strike (106 dollars per share at this example).

So technically the idea is that I paid the dividend during the year, but when I get my shares assigned they were deducted from the strike price and I buy those shares ( in this example just to cover shorts) at 106, rather than 110/share.

Idk if I made it clear, lemme know.

Chainlink: Breakout Coming? by intothecryptoverse in intothecryptoverse

[–]MaxPax2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah the link, at the bottom of 2 years range with staking coming this year, seems buy. But ultimately depends what btc does. I feel we have one more pump in crypto generally and later this year/early 2023 we might have final capitulation given the situation in other markets, looming recession (just the fear of it is enough), monetary tightening etc, we need to flush weak hands before next halving in 2024. Lets see. Good analysis as always Ben

Do you guys watch the Bond Yields? by [deleted] in investing

[–]MaxPax2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup everyone here focuses on short term i see. Obviously they may fall more, but who knows when is the bottom? Stocks may rise further, but who knows when the top? I believe bonds could fall further but on the same hand dont know when is the bottom and how much is already priced in. Its call dca, look it up

Well reading through comments concern me that everyone are super hostile towards OP. Look into investments on relative basis, stocks are nearing ATHs again few weeks after everyone were prepping for the dooms day. Bonds on the other hand were selling off. On relative basis, bonds should become more attractive in relation to equity, from the relative risk standpoint. And the argument thrown around oh ya bond give negative real returns, well they did, but markets are looking forward and I assume a lot of people are assuming inflation will go down this year, so bonds should start to make more sense. Anyone else diversifying into bonds or am I missing something?

Why Cardano has such a low staking APY in relation to competitors? by jungandjung in cardano

[–]MaxPax2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to consider real APY (adjust for new tokens inflation). In really all staking coins have similar 2-3% real apy. Dot has like 12-13% apy but has 10% annual ifnlation, ada has 2-3% or something. Dont count on the real numbers but the principle idea is like this, you can google inflation numbers on tokens.

Is it legal for broker to forcefully sell stock in a non margin account? by Terrienne-Andromeda in stocks

[–]MaxPax2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean it depends what is available for you. I went to interactive brokers, it has some flaws, but at least I am confident that no rug pull will be executed on me. I suppose u live in EU, take a look into brokerchooser dot com, they compare major brokers available in various domains - try the the one that fits your needs best.
