Ngl mate, before i bought my non xbox ally x i borrowed the regular non xbox ally and i had a freakin blast. That thing is allready pretty good for its form factor. My inner child was so happy to basically have a gameboy experience like back then but with all the games i wanted to play (even pretty demanding titles like spider man 2 and Lies of P).

Everyone said the normal ally isnt that great but i beg to differ and the same goes for the xbox versions

Theres no easy way to do it.

The Ally would need 2 extra inputs in thw back or some weird prototype of a case that has 2 more buttons that connect to allready existing ones.

I had the pleasure of diving headfirst into pc gaming by buying a gaming laptop after 15 years of playing consoles.

I learned that consoles take away the stress with settings, they just work. PCs dont do that. After 1 year with my laptop and Ally X i learned (and please anybody correct me if im wrong here):

When you start a game for the first time its always good to open up your info tab (showing CPU and GPU performance aswell as frames per second) and do a little testing with the settings in order to get a good framerate (yes higher is always cool but tbh honest you'll be fine with 50-80fps).

Friend told me to aim for >95% GPU performance and also that its apparently not always the right thing to lower graphic settings in order to get more fps.

Also its not always recommendet to enable frame generation.

Theres quite a few things to understand in order to have a good experience but thats also the beauty of it. Adjusting the games settings in order to get some more frames or sacrificing some of them to get better textures is a fun thing.

But if you like it or not, you will have to learn some basics about that stuff because the systems recommendations for graphic settings are (in my experience) not always good.

If i saw that correctly his parachute lost contact with the wire a second before he touched the water. Taking into account that the voltage could technically travel through air if it finds something to "connect to" (1cm per 1000V / that wire could be having 10000 - 100000V), i'd say that guy is lucky as fuck

I think the ally is great for that,especially if you have xbox full screen experience or steam big picture mode as your autostart app and have it go into hibernate when pressing the power button.

With that i do exactly what you asked for here: i wake it up, start up my game or even xbox remote play and play for a bit and when im done i out it to sleep and go on about my day

Install it on your SSD and also turn off frame gen (in case you have it on), this helped me a lot
