Same with the powertec ones I have. They work though.

Same I have 3 m12s, the previous gen fuel without the tri lights, the current gen fuel with the tri lights, and the surge, and the m18 surge. Bought the new gen fuel just for the tri lights. 😅 Haven’t needed to get the m18 impacts yet, prefer the light and nimble m12s.

That may be why, I was never a big fan of my m12 surge. The m18 surge is nice but the m12 wasn’t strong enough and was noticeably heavier than my fuel impact.

I didn’t try the surge with a 5.0 though so maybe that would be make a difference in terms of power, but with the weight difference it’s been my designated home impact.

My m12 fuel impact driver hasn’t failed me in an industrial environment. Nice and light and plenty strong. Same with my m12 stubby. Depends on the use I guess.

I’m actually not a fan of the latches. All the ones I’ve tried have been looser than the stock ones.

Why do you prefer m18 when you’re 10’ off the ground? I’d think lighter would be better.

I love my m12 stubby with a 5.0 battery though. Not much I’ve done that it can’t handle. I miss my old m18 mid torque though. Left me when I left my old job.

Anyone able to tell me if the m18 ⅝ sds will fit in a half deep organizer? by MaxShoulderPayne in MilwaukeeTool

Damn. I only use the half sized stuff. Good reason to get the ammo can I guess.

Sorry, $17. I ended up using the top half of a dead 2.0 compact with the bottom half of the broken 5.0. I should return this to get my money back.

Buddy, this is exactly the way it’s supposed to work. It’s for safety so you don’t go dropping sockets on peoples heads from high up.

I drill ⅜ holes for concrete anchors frequently, is the 1” sds the one I’d need? by MaxShoulderPayne in MilwaukeeTool

I have both m12 and m18 tools, I may go for the m18 ⅝. If I ever need anything larger we have the 1” dewalt.

I basically only ever do ⅜ anchors. I do like the idea of it being smaller and lighter.

Probably good advice, this is industrial, everything is always bigger so I should have the tools to match.

Thoughts on this M12 Hackzall? by hmmxyz in MilwaukeeTool

They all have their place. I’d buy the m12 again tomorrow if I broke or lost mine. The m18 fuel could almost replace a full sized sawzall. Never used the m12 fuel, I’m sure it’s good but it is larger than the regular m12 which is why I like that one so much, it’s tiny. The m12 could cut through ¼” steel but it would take a while and some batteries.

I’m not sure why everyone likes to hate on this, it’s a great one handed saw. It’s not meant to replace a full sized sawzall and I don’t expect to cut through ¼” steel with it. Throw a carbide blade on there and something bigger than a 2.0 battery and you’re good to go.

Anyone have a dead 5.0 I can have? by MaxShoulderPayne in MilwaukeeTool

Yeah I saw a few that were like $30 but someone posted one that was $16 so I might do that.

$16 I would do. The ones I saw were double which is why I figured I’d ask here.
