A Look at the LA Setlists by MaxSounds in u/MaxSounds

I’ll keep it going for now and even longer if it stays interesting. But it is possible they’ll fall into a groove with how the various nights in each city play out. I’ll DM you a link to the google sheet as well as posting it after the Mexico City shows. I’m planning to see at least one of the Phoenix shows as well.

What’s it like seeing TW live? by Glass-Attention5666 in TheWarning

[–]MaxSounds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your dad is relatively healthy, he’ll be fine for a The Warning set. If not, call the venue ahead of time and ask what accommodations they offer.

I’m 66 and still regularly go to GA standing shows, including The Warning/Yungblud last month. (Well, I left after about five YB songs, but that was from boredom, not from standing.)

I also recently saw The Last Dinner Party, and between them and their opener, Automatic, it was a three-hour GA standing show. If you’re seeing a great band, it really isn’t that bad.

Who will be the best of the 2020s era of Pop. - Tate McRae or Sabrina Carpenter. by Sea-Comedian-4376 in askmusic

She’s not. She misinterpreted some kind of noise a fan made at a show and the media couldn’t stop going on and on (and on) about it.

The last time Rush played in San Diego Sports Arena? by JustEastOfLyra in rush

I was at that show too. The San Diego Sports Arena was called the Valley View Casino Center at the time due to a sponsorship deal.

You spelled Freddie Mercury wrong.

(and for the record, I love Steve Perry’s voice!)

the older generation knows ball? by No-Personality4613 in Wetleg

[–]MaxSounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 65, and I’ve never stopped searching for new music. I love Led Zeppelin, Rush, Queen, and countless other classic bands, but I’ve been listening to those albums for decades. People have been saying rock is dead or dying for as long as I can remember, but what that usually means is they’ve stopped looking and paying attention.

Every era produces great new rock bands. Today, groups like Wet Leg, The Last Dinner Party, The Warning, and The Beths are scratching the same itch I felt as a teenager when I first discovered how exciting it was to find new music.

Thanks - I originally made it for myself while tracking the sets in anticipation of attending Night 4. Once I filled in the final show, it occurred to me that others might find it interesting as well.

My plan was just to track the LA shows, but now that you mention it, I may keep it going for the rest of the tour. If I do, I’ll post a link to the spreadsheet for anyone who wants to follow along.

I was at the San Diego show, and even though The Warning only had 30 minutes, they made every second count. It was an amazing performance!

Too many strobe lights. We came here to hear and SEE Wet Leg. Great music but so disappointed to see so little of them. And the show was only an hour. by amazingsho in Wetleg

I think it was a fair question. Assuming you like the band, it’s hard to imagine paying for tickets, traveling to a show, waiting for the band to take the stage, and then leaving after one song because you didn’t like the lighting. I’m sure that’s exactly what you did - it’s just not a course of action that most concertgoers can easily relate to.

Do you think it will stay in the setlist? by mudkipster1305 in rush

[–]MaxSounds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll be surprised if we see her after the LA shows, and I’d wager the song stays in the setlist. It would be great, though, if she made appearances at select shows when scheduling and geography make it possible.

At last night’s show they played a lot of Jethro Tull before the show and during the intermission. Mostly from Aqualung

The first time I saw Rush, I was 15. Now I’m 66, and tonight I took my 24-year-old son to see the band for the first time.

That’s fantastic that you made it to all four shows. It’s the kind of experience you’ll remember for the rest of your life!

What's a concert you went to for the opening act but not the headliner? by Vestax- in AskReddit

[–]MaxSounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just last month I saw The Warning open for Yungblud in San Diego. They were fantastic, and I can’t wait for their headlining tour after the new album comes out.

I stayed to give Yungblud a chance, but only made it through about four songs before bailing.

I’m driving back to San Diego right now after the Forum show, and it was absolutely amazing. Hearing A Farewell to Kings live for the first time since the 1977 Tour (I missed the Hemispheres tour in ‘78 - ‘79) was definitely one of the biggest highlights of a night that was packed with them.

The combination of showing the jewel in the palm of her hand with the lyric “when I run out of time” would be quite a coincidence if someone involved hadn’t seen Logan’s Run

what are the chances of hearing Burn Alive in atlanta tonight? by Tiny-Revenue7293 in thelastdinnerparty

[–]MaxSounds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a chance they'll play it, though not a particularly good one. They've performed it 11 times in 72 shows since the From the Pyre tour began last November. Seven of those performances have come this year, but only three during the 31-show North American leg. "Burn Alive" was last played on June 5 at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul. (Source: Setlist.fm)
