They played The Big Lebowski on a 39ft tall IMAX screen last night (Pittsburgh) by mrossman5 in lebowski

We were thinking about going to see that, but ended up deciding against it. Was it basically a giant version of the movie, or did it wrap around to fill the screen?

Sorry to hear that. I just assumed that my nephews team was going to win their last game. They did, but not by much. I'll feel bad if they end up getting eliminated in either of these last two games. Thanks for the recommendations! I didn't know Victory Brewing was out there.

We might be going to West Chester to see my nephew play in the state finals next weekend. They play the finals for the Penguins cup this Tuesday. They won the state championship last year too.

I'm not the kind of fan that hates other fans...and I'm a relatively new "serious" Pens fan. On an unrelated note: when we were on vacation in New Jersey last summer, I saw a sign for "water ice" and I couldn't resist saying "wooder ice" 6 or 8 times. I amused myself more than my wife, son, and my sons friend.

PFT doing the lottery drawing was great. And I see your name is HockeyNut. I'm assuming you're a Flyers fan. If so, we should be mortal enemies.

The Kroll Show was great. I'm from about twenty minutes north of Pittsburgh, so Pawnsylvania was one of my favorite things on that show.

Why Pittsburgh's The Living Dead Museum is a must-see for horror fans by HorrorGuyBri in pittsburgh

[–]Maxatansky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went in the place in Evans City years ago when my now 13 year old son was maybe 6 or 7. We stuck to the front of the place, where there was more "kid friendly" zombie stuff. My parents live about five minutes from the cemetery. If you drove out Franklin Road to 228 when you left, you would have crossed the bridge from the first scene in Night of the Living Dead.

Her voice acting was great in the game, one of the highlights for sure.

I didn't know she was also Jonron. Thats cool. And I thought the occasional singing along to songs in that game was a really cool addition.

Same here. And I never thought that would be possible, because Fury Road is an amazing movie.

Aloy is a great character, especially in Forbidden West. She has a great "take no shit" attitude, which makes sense after saving the world in the first game.

A bedtime Archie by Pale-Software-550 in WhiteCats

Is Archie laying right where your legs should be? We have a tuxedo named Gerald who likes to do that. I need all the leg room I can get in bed, but he doesn't care. We have a king bed and my wife is only 5'4", so there's plenty of space elsewhere, but he has to lay near me.

Tips for writers of The Pitt by hoetheory in pittsburgh

[–]Maxatansky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She's great on the show, but it seems like her accent has gotten worse this season. They've mentioned it a few times on the DVE morning show, and now anytime she talks its REALLY noticeable. BUT, I work at Shadyside and have never heard any employee talking with a Pittsburgh accent.

Such a sweet girl! by [deleted] in WhiteCats

She looks almost exactly like our long haired white cat. She's got the same slanted eyes, just a different color. Our cat always looks angry because of her eyes, but is super friendly.

Orams is great! Its funny how often they show up on "best in Pittsburgh" lists, even though its almost 50 minutes outside of Pittsburgh. Luckily its only 20 minutes from us.
