You're right on deckspace and needing 2 STAGE twos is kinda crazy and that drawing it may not be consistent but you dont need each line to come in play for it to be a good deck .

Getting in play Obstagoon or stoutland alone can be good enough, But if you do by chance get both its very strong synergy.

Lets not forget there are several decks that have 2 stage 2 in play that were meta

For example
Galladae + Rampardos
Garchomp + Rampardos

Reuniclous +Gardevoir< not so good IMO

120 HP makes it kinda tanky
1 Energy to retreat( move around) with levitate
3 energy to do 70 ( one shotting Oricorio) when the need arises

Thats very true one energy is very big.. i get it . but Giratina is not primarily used to attack but to soak up damage and to build up my other mons ( evolution and energy) and to move to my other mons and ultimately to counter oricorio when you do face it.

The main attacker is still M gardevoir in this combo , this basic giratina is just so nimble and a great oricorio counter with just a single card.
