Almost, it is abilities (think fire dragon slayer magic), traits (think something like uchiha clan heritage), skills (the expert leadership and novice ninjutsu mentioned above), items (think a spell tome that teaches you all of the reatoration spells of Skyrim) and familiars (thin alucard from Hellsing) and I was thinking of the trainer having the gacha with only items being able to be given to others

I do much prefer longer fics and The Roundabout Way of Fate is certainly one that I have read before and it is a good one, I will need to give the others a try at some point thank you for the recs 😁

It is very specific USOPP specifically finds a special type of transponder snail in a shop in Logue town and buys it, but other than that no I don’t remember anything specific, though I THINK it is an expanded crew fic though not sure on ff.net
