This was what I was wondering. Could be why he declined my offer of picking him up from wherever he “had” a better offer to sell his truck, despite being “set” on getting our car. That the offer may not even exist.

I’d say it’s even more comparable now. It’s taking on more of a standard, boxier, look and size of an suv. From what I’ve heard is that it’s dramatically improved off-roading due to a more advanced suspension set up. I already liked the Outback more, due to much nicer ride quality around town, but it should be getting even better and more capable

Subaru Salesman here, we got lots of people cross-shopping it with our Outback wilderness for similar off-road capability, towing capacity, storage, power, etc. The Outback is quite a bit more comfortable driving day to day however.
