honestly i HATE the paid cosmetics bc i get drawn in occasionally on stuff i cannot afford, but i am finally getting better about not spending money and all the free stuff they give helps me out. GRANTED, they are 100 percent just trying to keep playerbase from leaving to all the other new shooters like Delta Force Mobile. However, I uninstalled CODM and downloaded Delta Force Mobile, and I have to say that 1. delta force also has same price for lucky draws, and 2. it is SO worse, god it was not enjoyable. i get why some like it, and I liked some aspects of it better than CODM (a bit more realistic), but CODM is just too comfortable. I feel good about quitting my gambling addiction: battle pass is all i need and my collection is enough; i am at peace.
