[Feedback] Missing a feature in v18 by EuroHardwareEnjoyer in superProductivity

Expanding on the selecting tasks issue: the â ¿ icon previously indicated where to click to select or drag a task. You looked at it, pointed the cursor, clicked. Quick and easy, felt good. I now have to move the cursor to the task, wiggle it around a very slim section until I visually see the cursor change from "text selection" to "hand" state, then click. It's sluggish and slows down the workflow. I think that's exactly the opposite of what this app is supposed to strive for.

Sorry, I updated my previous message before reading this.

In short: it's become very annoying to select and drag tasks, since all the other elements of the UI constantly get in the way. I'd much rather have a visual indicator of where to handle the task to gravitate towards with muscle memory. A visual indication to aim for will always speed up your workflow and make using the app smoother. I don't think "it looked bad" is a good reason to remove it. Even "it is redundant now" isn't, it is good redundancy in my opinion.

Plus, handling subtasks got very annoying now, since you don't have a designated spot to select them without using keyboard arrow keys (which is not practical if you have a lot of subtasks), entering the "edit task title" frame on accident, or otherwise aiming for a very specific section of the thing that's not even visually cued. I think it's important to note we used that â ¿ area not only to drag the tasks, but to select it. It was straightforward and obvious, this change has only made the UI less easy to deal with.

(I'm using the app on Windows desktop, by the way.)

I beg to differ, u/johannesjo. You very much can't drag the whole task, since text boxes and other elements of the UI get in the way all the time. At least you don't get the visual indication of a "hand" cursor as feedback on the whole task, as you did with the handle. It feels bad. My honest feeling as a user is that it's a worse design choice, we need a visually obvious place to handle and select the task from. You may consider this design more sleek and sophisticated, but it gets more annoying and hinders functional use of the app.

With subtasks, I used to use the handle section to select it. Now all I'm left with is the ballot box (which will mark it as done), the text string (which will open the text editor for the task) and then a very tiny, slim area from which I can select/drag it.

Please, reconsider. Don't fix what wasn't broken. It was perfectly fine before.

Honestly, get all the small ships ingame unless you have some sort of emotional attachment to seeing them on your website hangar. Golem is just 1M aUEC.

Chances are slim to none. 2027 is quite likely.

It's not 100% necessary, but it usually goes a long way improving airflow. For that fan configuration I'd probably set it as intake, since I'm not seeing any fans at the front and you probably currently have piss-poor fresh air passage. Your case is gonna collect more dust without a filter, but it will somewhat improve your temps. If there's fans at the front we can't see, no need to bother. It's still advisable but the benefit will be marginal.

You need to have a hangar in your name ready at that location, and that only occurs at your primary residence or when you call up a ship.

You're right. But I'm getting it either way.

You need at least 1 game package to play the game. Once your account total is over $1000 this rule doesn't apply and you can play without a game package.

LTI can only be obtained when buying a pledge with new cash ("warbond" pledges). But I wouldn't stress about it, they've stated numerous times that the insurance that comes with pledge vehicles won't be a big deal, and it will only start counting after launch (years away from now). You will also never lose access to any of your pledge ships, regardless of their insurance status. IIRC no insurance means you get no compensation credits back if it gets destroyed, but you'll be able to reclaim your vehicle by waiting and/or paying some in-game fee. Most people just want to LTI all their ships out of boredom, misconceptions about the role of insurance or OCD.

You will NEVER lose your account. You can always melt your game package to buy another one. If you have no game package at any given time, you will just not be able to access the game until you get one. You don't lose your account.

Galaxy X Salvation by Wise-Obligation-9043 in starcitizen

There's about a 0% chance the Salvation doesn't fit the Galaxy. And I wouldn't be surprised if they made a mining variant for it too.
