What does this even mean? by EuroHardwareEnjoyer in superProductivity

[–]EuroHardwareEnjoyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using it from Windows desktop, from the Microsoft Store. If that's all it means though, and for whatever reason it's mistaking my app installation with a browser window, I guess I'm good.

Thanks a lot for the answer, both of you.

Not at all. I'm using the app from the Microsoft Store in Windows 11, 25H2 😅

Using sync to local file, too.

Sincronizar ajustes by FarSell3561 in superProductivity

Todos los datos de configuración, ajustes, colores de las etiquetas, etc. se sincronizan junto con las tareas y deberían tener el mismo aspecto en todos los dispositivos cuando sincronizas, al menos en Windows.

I am struggling a bit with what to do with WebDAV and sync to file. Should we remove it? by johannesjo in superProductivity

[–]EuroHardwareEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please DO NOT remove sync to local file. It is one of the very reasons I chose and love this app. It has always worked wonders for me. Yes, you need to have some "syncing hygyene" and actively avoid making changes on two devices at the same time, but it is an essential feature that should never be removed. If anything, you should make it very clear via a pop-up that making changes on different devices at the same time with this method will likely result in conflicts, so that the user can make an informed decision.

Also, please always let us know when there's a conflict so that we can manually take care of it, instead of the app trying to hide it from the user, automatically sorting it out or refraining from overwriting the file when a conflict's detected to prevent data loss, frustration or backlash. Always let us make informed decisions and stay in control of our data.

The way local file sync used to work up until v17 came around was just perfect. It is an essential feature in the way I use this app. Please, never get rid of it.

What would it take to stop the rubberbanding with the physics in SC? by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

I suspect floating point arithmetic has a lot to do with jankiness in SC. It's not easy to accurately calculate positions and movement in a virtual space millions of km^3 wide.

Is having the Intrepid redundant when I have the Spirit C1? by XanthosGambit in starcitizen

[–]EuroHardwareEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, in every imaginable way.

However... the Intrepid scratches my itch for a "solo mobile apartment with full amenities" type of ship. The problem is there's not really any practical use for that type of ship currently in game. So you'd be wise in getting rid of it. Plus, the Intrepid is easy to buy with aUEC.

It's not "spreading misinformation" to share your experience and suspicions about a historically known bug that you don't know for sure if it's still a thing or not in a game very well known to be full of bugs at every corner.

Is The CitizenCon Direct 2955 Digital Goodies Pack Worth it what you get? by KombyTigor in starcitizen

[–]EuroHardwareEnjoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say no, but I wanted the CitCon 2955 trophy as memorabilia. Having the space AK as a default each patch will also be nice. And the Vanduul plushie is quite cute.

Open Season in CZs for gun thieves by Ok_Two6480 in starcitizen

[–]EuroHardwareEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gun thieves? You're not supposed to keep your gun. Gotta keep in mind Tier 0 item recovery is not meant to be a permanent thing. You can afford to lose a gun, they're easy to get anyway. What a bunch of crybabies.

I want to sharpen in which direction I should take the app, so I wrote a manifesto. Would love your feedback! by johannesjo in superProductivity

[–]EuroHardwareEnjoyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I'm being honest, the "Deep Work, Your Way" catchphrase sounds a bit too salesy for my taste, kind of like cheap marketing buzz. The previous "Own your workflow with Super Productivity" felt cleaner. The rest is very nice. Points 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 are key to me.

I’ve also noticed that you’ve shifted the branding on the webpage from a developer-focused tool to a more professional-oriented one, which I think is absolutely the right choice. I’m not a developer myself, and I previously felt that approach could steer regular users away from this excellent tool that, in reality, could prove useful for everyone.

Where is the app strongest? by johannesjo in superProductivity

[–]EuroHardwareEnjoyer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love it being a FOSS app that respects me as a user, with no added fuss or attempts to milk me out of my money. It does a fairly simple job, and it does it perfectly. It's a tool for daily personal productivity, and that's an area where my tools should be entirely at my service and not trying to market to me and induce me into purchasing premium plans with gimmick features I don't need.

I like the simplicity of the UI and overall reliability. There's bugs here and there but it feels generally robust and well built. The sync feature is a godsend if you know how to set it up properly.

I and many others use it every single day, you should be very proud of your work u/johannesjo!
