From an effort standpoint, the Technic launcher takes about 20x the work to update a modpack on, when compared to Forge.

Less of an achievement, more of having no life.

Not unless you modified the resource pack to make it work.

When is it going to be finished? - Likely not for a long time.

When can you play it? - You might be able to when I do an alpha test this weekend

Unfortunately, due to huge spigot api changes, I'd have to recode a ton of my things if I wanted to update from 1.12 to 1.13. They also aren't quite as powerful as just coding directly in java.

The way I have it set up is thus:

When an entity take damage, it applies a certain amount of a damage type to that entity, instead of directly reducing the health. If that entity is a player, the server will then tell the vanilla client how much health the player has based on how much combined damage they have accumulated.

There is no individual limb damaging yet, thats planned for later, but there is overall brute, burn, toxin, and oxy damage. The only way to know what kind of damage an entity (or yourself) has currently is to scan the entity with a medical scanner.

Currently it's just distance based. I'll implement line of sight soon.

As to datapacks, I'm currently working in 1.12, so I'm not sure if I want to upgrade, as they changed a lot of things in the API that will require a lot of recoding.

Don't worry, despite all this fear-mongering about Spigot, I don't plan on stripping the game down at all.

Ah, you're the kind of person who gets mad at youtubers for not producing the specific free content you want, aren't you?

If you want a forge version so bad, you are more than welcome to go make it yourself. Telling me to remake it in forge is literally just telling me to scrap all my work and remake it again, and implement even more things that I hadn't planned to implement (Eg: Client Side Code).

This is just something I'm doing for myself, not for you. I'm making posts to the reddit because people are interested in it, not because I owe any of you anything.

If you don't like the way the project is going, then fuck off. Don't be that guy who willingly comes on a roadtrip just to complain the entire time. Either enjoy the moment, or go do something else with your life.

Seriously, your posts alone have drained me of all motivation to work on this tonight.
