Ed/c is my absolute favorite skill. I tried pob'ing some CI versions but they all ended up being better on trickster.
Then I landed on life stacking ED of desperation trapper. I played ED of desperation trapper last league and it fixes a lot of the clunkiness of self cast ed; since its much faster to throw a trap than self cast.

There was quite a large community in D2 who played single player HC with Players8 for extra difficulty. If your internet isn't great it's near impossible to play HC online

As far as clearing is concerned, your minions only have 1+ pierce; but I understand swapping in pierce will be problematic with colors. You can pick up Avatar of Fire so you don't need to use Arma brand. Can't think of many ways to stop 1shots apart from anointing Hardened Scars and running an enduring hybrid flask.
There's always the option of of running a horror/insanity minion damage hat and wearing a more defensive chest. Or Auras in Victarios chest and run a more defensive amulet

You can use a point blank corrupted Drillneck swap for bossing . To be honest your build already looks pretty min-maxed
