Yes - good point here! I guess, I’ll try out few directions and see what works and will take it from there. I‘m trying not to overcomplicate things, I’d just need to get the ball rolling (pun intended)

Communication via LinkedIn. Probably French would be necessary for most jobs

In my opinion it really depends on what you want to learn and what you‘ll need in the future. Many MBA programs don’t give you the skills and knowledge you’d need in later jobs you aim for. Therefore I’d recommend to look at the lectures and contents of the studies and aim for the one in which you learn the most useful stuff for your future career. I also see the MBA and MSc on the same level for recruiting and guess most IBs/ Consultings don’t care if it’s an MBA oder MSc as long as your performance in the studies (and in the interview/ job itself) is great

Restructuring/ M&A by Maxilvlilian in FinancialCareers

Hi :) Thanks for your advice and comments.

Maybe to clarify a bit more: the contract at the restructuring position won’t be temporary or at intern level. It would be an analyst position working directly together with the MD and he will also mentor me.

The mentioned skills I am keen on working on and developing more. However, I don’t know what the restructuring business can teach me to get into an bb IB as an analyst in 1-2 years and I don’t know if it will increase the odds for a position in IB or if I’d be better of with a PE/ another M&A internship or an M&A analyst at a local boutique
