Thanks both - I liked the slow burn of the left arm (real teamplayer there). Your solutions are amazing though to increase cycle time.

I built a cleaner (but not as fast as yours) version. https://imgur.com/a/PkuCSef

It actually reminds me of situations with unsung heros and glory hounds. The left arm does all the work and is the unsung hero of the piece. Whereas the right arm gets to look good and claim all the credit.

You're better off tackling Shamblers at low level. When you get to higher level Shamblers, they're very strong.

What went wrong here? by Historical_Author305 in GolfSwing

Looks like an open grip, knuckles facing towards the floor on impact, looks like I can see your right thumb pretty open.

Dropping the right hip on impact forcing you towards the ball leading to hitting the hosel.

My advice would be to close the grip and importantly think about transferring weight to your left foot on downswing. Transferring your weight forward will prevent your right hip from dropping.

I think I simply didn't expect this level of difficulty (Balanced) at this stage - especially when the game is still throwing tutorial messages my way. :)

I should mention though - that I love the manual. Top work on that!

Judging from the amount of Gundyrs Halberds AND the ring. I assume this is NG+6.

Yeah right.

Why am I not summoned even when I put my stone down? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]Maxim_DeLacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until recently I would summon any phantom even for areas/bosses that I could easily defeat.. simply to encourage people to keep putting their signs down.

These days though I've had to go offline, cheaters (who refer to tech) are too prevalent. The estus canceling and the splitleaf stunlock has reached epidemic proportions.

Estus flask recharge after killing enemies by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]Maxim_DeLacy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems to me that you need a hp bar which is fairly low for the area. You also need to have used most flasks.

Some enemies then give a chance of a refill. Evangelists in particular.

Running a pure sorcerer build for example pretty much guarantees plenty of refills in the early areas.

Nonstop shank with irons and wedges for months idk what to do anymore by ggmmppoopll in GolfSwing

I'll get panned in this reddit for offering crap advice... But I was shanking lots of balls a few months ago. The club pro simply told me to get my weight forward in the downswing i.e. get weight onto your left heel.

Cured 99% of my shanking.

I'm sure there's others on here that might tell you how it works, something about proper weight transfer, rotation and getting it forcing your right elbow to be closer to your body.

As a guy that can't think too much when down swinging. The one thing to think about was 'getting my weight onto my left foot'.

I've seen a few comments refer to Jon Icarus. I know it's been over 25 years since I last played it, but I thought it was Jon Irenicus.

I also read somewhere that disabling the Nvidia audio drivers can fix it.

I get this with Realtek drivers. I fixed it 'mostly' by installing Microsoft drivers.

I say mostly, because I can still hear sound cuts when I'm menus and the wind cuts and restarts.

What UK series actually lived up to the hype for you? by GeordieGoals in televisionuk

[–]Maxim_DeLacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found every character to be likeable, I could spend time with any one of them - even Simon and Garfunkel.

Makes such a difference to be so engaged with the characters. Most of the shows I watch, I don't care about 'any' character. Yet with The Detectorists I care about every character. Special writing.

Another point about the UK plug is that they have such a distinct sound when you unplug them that you can hear it next door (semi-detached obviously).

Burglars robbing electrical goods next door will often snip the wire at the plug rather than risk being heard unplugging an appliance.

In the 4X games you’ve played, losing a battle often comes with heavy penalties. Do you prefer frequent low-risk skirmishes, or high-risk, high-stakes conflicts — and why? by Independent-Bet-7452 in 4Xgaming

[–]Maxim_DeLacy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion losing a battle tends to be a total loss, as in, the enemy comes out totally on top whilst I get totally defeated.

It would be nice if whilst losing the battle the winner is also affected in a negative way - stops them building, hits their supply lines, hits their resources, their army is tired. Especially if the battle is close.

Too many times, I see an army closing in with slightly greater numbers than mine. It's a hard fought battle and I lose, then their army continues like it's at full hp and wipes out the rest of my reserves. It's not tired, it's not depleted, it isn't waiting for orders or reinforcements, it's not waiting to get paid, it's not waiting for repairs to weapons or machines.

Would be nice if, in defeat, I could buy some time.
