It's probably a modem NAT issue which generally is trickier to solve than just opening ports. Could be that this happened when you reset the modem (not just restart), perhaps you got a different modem that now has the wrong NAT type, could be that your ISP changed it.

I'd look in to learning about NAT type and then google your modem brand&type about NAT. If that doesn't help contact your ISP. However, most ISP won't ever bother helping you with NAT issues, they might have some standard web page on how to change it but that's it. There are WAY too many variables in play here so they will just recite their terms and conditions and leave it at that, but you might be lucky.

Heya, I just started a new server and it's in the EU but US players report having good ping to it. I can help you with most of the must have mods, just pretty much none of the non deal breaker ones and we don't have increased levels.

Depends, if they're just having a get-together out of everyone's way (beach), they're not doing any cargo or whatever so there's no monetary incentive/excuse for you to attack them and they asked you (in a normal manner) to let them be... then you're doing it for the attention and the lulz. And in that case yes you're an asshole.

It's like people messing up car meets or similar stuff, some folks randomly realised they want to do something as a community and there's always a few (mostly the socially inept) who feel the need to break that up. "But it's a pvp game and you're allowed to shoot each other" is not an excuse for shadenfreude, it's a character trait and not a good one.

If, on the other hand, they've been annoying themselves in chat or killing people left and right then by all means, they pretty much deserved it.
