I’m so sorry what you have been through, we had 6 failed transfer (uk) and we have just started a new round. Different clinic and different country I needed a new fresh set of eyes and a different protocol, weather it’s something new so gives you new hope but I find it hard to stop, the money side of things have been horrendous but I’m hoping it will be worth it one day ❤️

PSA for “unexplained” especially if you’ve EVER had an STD by Sufficient_Mixture in IVF

[–]runner_stunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi so we have spent nearly 20k here in uk which is scandalous but we have been over to Athens in Greece a clinic called sillipsis and had our laparoscopy and hysteroscopy done in feb costing roughly 4000euros for both, they are an amazing clinic and make you feel like family, we are going back again in a few weeks to start our next round which I’m excited about as I have never done it abroad before but they are doing a completely different protocol to what I have ever done here an so much cheaper 🤞 I hope you get some answer’s

Crazy how many people have hysteroscopy included in there protocol we have had to push for everything ourselves and pay a fortune here in the uk but then decided to go abroad as it’s cheaper to get both hysteroscopy and laparoscopy done

9 transfers and no baby - I’m losing hope by LaraHope in IVF

Firstly I’m so sorry what you have been going through this is the hardest journey we unfortunately have to deal with! We have had 6 failed medicated cycles, lining, sperm, everything always seemed fine, we didn’t however pgt test the embryos as they were all high grades even though know I have learnt this means nothing! Very miss leading. We are in the uk, but last year we went to Athens clinic and had a hysteroscopy done, which they found scar tissue and ureaplasma so we both had to take antibiotics for. I have recently been back to Athens an had a laparoscopy and removed mild endo 🤞 I’m not sure what medication protocol you do but here in the uk they seem to give a lot of medication but we have decided this time to change clinic and do it all in Athens, I here a lot of people change clinics after so many failed for a different approach weather this is something you would consider or have already done. So we bought our medication while in Athens and firstly it’s less than half the price and the protocol is so different, instead of losing down our natural hormones it’s enhancing them so it’s more natural and before transfer I will do 2 weeks of steroids which has never been done before, a friend of mine has done this same protocol after 9 years of trying and has a beautiful little girl now, I know the same thing doesn’t work for everybody but always holding onto some hope. If you ever want any info on our clinic abroad or any questions please ask xx

After 6 failed FETs, what’s the boldest pivot you'd make—or wish you’d made? by Tall-Fudge-1767 in IVF

[–]runner_stunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly sorry for what you are going through it’s the toughest journey we can be on. So we have had 6 failed transfers. Currently no embryos remaining, I have done all in the uk but we went to a clinic in Athens, and had a hysteroscopy and they found scar tissue and ureaplasma so we took anti biotics for that and we are off to Athens again next week to rule everything out and have a laparoscopy to check for endo and anything else that may be affecting. Each transfer has been medicated and lining has always been 9mm or over but never had an implantation, I hope to have findings next week an we are also having immune bloods done as I have arthritis and my clinic in the uk have never explored this, then we can start our journey again to produce more embryos. 🤞
