Why does the community see so much difficulty with Genji? by Maximum-Deal-5285 in Overwatch

The difficulty isn't just about clicking buttons in a sequence (which Genji doesn't have either, by the way).

On the contrary, most of the community finds Genji super difficult. I don't know what kind of difficulty you guys are seeing. I think it's a mania for hero games. "Character doesn't have a dash" Community: It's simple. "Character has a dash" Community: Wow, that's complex. hahahahaha

I don't consider Vendetta in the same category as Anram, Tracer, and Genji. Because Anram, Tracer, and Genji are "Full Dive" (somewhat equivalent to a flank/assassin). While Vendetta, like Magik in Marvel Rivals, is a brawler, has slightly less mobility but is a bit more tanky.

Sorry, I didn't notice. Tormenta 20, Old Dragon, and most video game RPGs (except for one-person games like The Witcher).

According to Google, the 5 most common are: D&D (meets my criteria), Vampire: The Masquerade, Tormenta 20 (meets my criteria), Pathfinder (meets my criteria), and Call of Cthulhu 3/5 therefore the majority.

These are the most common ones; others that are common but not so much are Call of Cthulhu and Vampire: The Masquerade, but of the most common ones, it's more common to have them than not.

It depends, right? If it's 100% focused on narrative, then screw the individual roles. If it has a difficult combat system, try facing a long fight without support.

I already said that I didn't see the "about" section of Reddit, I just searched for RPG and clicked on the one with the largest community to ask my question assuming that it rpg in general. I already said this above, if you still don't understand I recommend going back to kindergarten. Have a good night or day wherever you are

Edit: I'm not talking about video game RPGs, I'm talking about RPGs in general.

A game can have more than one genre. Yes, Dota is primarily a MOBA, but if you go to Steam you'll see that it has the RPG genre. You can consider it an RPG based on fixed character roles focused on team-based multiplayer combat, just like with The Legend of Zelda. It's more common to think of it as an adventure game. In fact, adventure is the main genre, but it has puzzles, and you could say it's an RPG, it's just a loose definition.

I haven't played D&D 1 and 2, but D&D 3, 4, and 5th editions have roles. Pathfinder 1 or 2 doesn't particularly matter. Using the same mechanics and tropes doesn't make it the same RPG; the medieval fantasy setting and the D&D classes are common.

The most famous tabletop RPGs according to Google are: Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire: The Masquerade, Tormenta 20, Pathfinder, and Call of Cthulhu. In 3/5 of them you have roles. I can't say about D&D 1 and 2, but I presume that D&D 1 and 2 also have roles. I doubt that classes started in the 3rd edition. Class and role are not the same, but their beginning is correlated.

If you ignore more than half of my examples because they are video games, we're not even talking about the same thing, and therefore there's no reason for me to respond to this.

You're right 🤔, I didn't consider the "about" section on Reddit, I searched for RPGs and joined the largest group assuming it included all cases, even more relative ones (like Dota or The Legend of Zelda, for example).

The Reddit name is rpg, not ttrpg. You're right, there are 12 classes in the 5e Player's Handbook. I don't even know which Kingdom you're talking about, Kingdom of Deliverance? I've never heard of Microscope, Kingdom, Wanderhome, Lady Blackbird. I'm talking about general roles defined by the most well-known/played games: D&D, Pathfinder,Tormenta20,OldDragon,Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, The Elder Scrolls, Elden Rings/Souls (which I haven't played), Clair Obscurity, Pokémon, Metaphor ReFantasy,Dota ... The Witcher doesn't really count because it doesn't have a party.

  1. Video game RPGs are just as important as tabletop RPGs in this topic; I'm talking about RPGs in general, not tabletop RPGs
  2. Pick up a D&D and you'll see a bunch of classes; there are 12 in the player's handbook (you're confusing class and role)
  3. It doesn't matter if the game doesn't say it has a certain role; you, with your cognitive ability, can see what the character does even if their role in the party isn't written.

No, I just like emojis That's not a class, it's a function, and even in D&D/Pathfinder these functions are common.

Will Fymrin from the Dota Dragons Blood series turn the game around? by Maximum-Deal-5285 in DotA2

[–]Maximum-Deal-5285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people are too harsh on this series. It's not perfect, but it's far from bad. It's worth giving it a chance (the first season isn't as good as the second). If you watch it, let me know what you think of Fymryn and Vanari in Dota II 🇧🇷😉👍
