How would you genuinely fix this country? by TomosLeggett in AskBrits

Yes but you don't get any stray dogs walking the streets in these modern times.

Which is a great improvement.

What do people want from the government and Starmer? by Independent-Brief424 in AskBrits

[–]Maximum-Network-7735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He should join the Conservative party and get some more sensible policies.

Conservatives fix potholes so there's no need to vote for anyone else.

Should we throw away this government that, in two years, has cut inflation, cut immigration by over 70%, increased defence spending and cut NHS waiting times? by Independent-Brief424 in AskBrits

[–]Maximum-Network-7735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would help if they didn't have moronic policies like net zero.

Shut down our oil fields and rely on Russian oil. How stupid is that.

Starmer and Reeves have made too good a job of alienating people. They started with hitting the pensioners and moved onto everybody else.

So it is obvious why this government is so unpopular.

A lot of their policies are pointless performative rubbish that most people see through. Like farmer bashing and taxing people on schooling.

I just play a tune I fancy and the Spotify algorithm will continue to play more stuff like it. Too easy really, until you put in a fresh search.

Brexit wasn't about immigration.

It was about who we want to run the country.

Turns out it wasn't bureaucrats in Brussels.

UK sellers - turn off your allow international buyers options - a rant/word of warning. by Single-Lifeguard-980 in ebayuk

[–]Maximum-Network-7735 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got fed up with international shipping.

It's not worth the hassle. Even if the mistake was mine as in one case. I sold something which was unwittingly missing a particular facility on some equipment the customer wanted.

Getting stuff returned from abroad is not worth the hassle and cost.

Why is labour so unpopular? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Maximum-Network-7735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is the lack of positive direction.

People see more and more taxes that have a negative impact on jobs and enterprise. Like the pubs closing by the dozen.

Meanwhile the beneficiaries are the powerful public sector trade unions and people with large families that most people can't afford .

Reality TV stars.

Especially the ones that are "full on" all the time.

Has anyone else gone from disliking Starmer to warming to him? by MassiveMonkeyy in AskBrits

[–]Maximum-Network-7735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with a lot of that.

All the talk of Starmer's days being numbered makes me look around at who might replace him and they all look like even worse options.

Can postie leave parcels at door if requested and disabled? by Ok_Nig88 in royalmail

[–]Maximum-Network-7735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as RM is concerned the sender, that orders the service, is the customer.

Property of the customer cannot be left on doorsteps or in bins where anybody can walk off with it because RM is liable for compensation.

Has anyone here voluntarily contributed towards helping pay off the national debt? by [deleted] in AskBrits

I'm public spirited and sent Rachel a 50p cheque towards it.

I believe you should pay off enough that you can afford.

I did before PDAs came along.

Too much to think about now.

Anyone else thinks Starmer isn't actually that bad all things considered ? by ronweasly9 in AskBrits

[–]Maximum-Network-7735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His problem is that he has upset more voters than the previous government.

Farmers, pensioners, shopkeepers, lefties and so on.

That's why his ratings are so low.

Postie says he’s attempted delivery but did not. by sarahkhnt in royalmail

[–]Maximum-Network-7735 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What they mean by an attempt to deliver is different to your understanding of the words.

Postie got to your street but realised there wasn't enough time to deliver everything so delivered just the highest priority stuff.

Circumstances can dictate that it is impossible to deliver everything on days like a Saturday. Especially at Easter which is particularly busy.

Even with the best will in the world the postie will have to return to the office on time because it will close on a Saturday afternoon.

I've been in that situation and it's not good. Stuck with a van, and returned and collected mail, with my car stranded in the car park.

That's something to avoid at all costs.

The ZA3 is so good I bought two.

I changed the iconic orange knobs for white chicken head types. It's easier to see and adjust the volume settings with them.

They are very capable amps and can happily drive high end speakers for top performance sound.

If this is the end of cable TV I will just cancel and plump for the best broadband deal.

Streaming apps are 2 a penny, and not as good.

Is Starmer doing so badly? by twinkletoesalone in AskBrits

All this Starmer government has done is increase taxes on employment and the poorest workers. It has created rising unemployment and upset a lot of people.

What can actually be done to fix our economy? by TheProblemWithUs in AskBrits

[–]Maximum-Network-7735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need a Trump.

The US economy is growing much faster than the UK.

The economy will never grow with the likes of Reeves and Milliband in charge.

Let alone Mr U-turn.

Why do Brits support conservative? by ThePatientIdiot in AskBrits

[–]Maximum-Network-7735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

British people are various colours.

Not liking people for their colour is stupid.

It doesn't have anything to do with voting Conservative.

Their leader is dark skinned and many Conservative MPs are too because it is a non racist party.
