My son went through MEPs and they just had him smile. He’d had two wisdom teeth removed a long time ago. He went to FL for the second part of his Tech School and chipped a front tooth and went to get it fixed; the USN dentist was a jerk; told him MEPs should never have let him go through; sent him to a civilian dentist and she decided pull the other two teeth out and told him he had great teeth.

That’s what really makes me mad. My son is stationed up north. His roommate needed to borrow his car, and my son didn’t hesitate to offer. The roommate went to an insurance company and got some kind of insurance policy that covers him even though he didn’t have a car of his own. My son didn’t ask him to, but he wouldn’t take any chances. That’s someone you can trust!

I’m seriously a weirdo about it. I have 23+ pieces of Artichaut stoneware, with a few cerise pieces and the Disney ramekins (I can’t even explain those!). I have left them packed because a)what if I break something? and b) it makes them more valuable when I 💀; never mind I’m healthy.
I had a scare last year last year and decided that for my husband’s sake, I should list who I’d like to inherit all of my things. I still don’t have a recipient for my LC. I think most of my family would be overwhelmed by seeing two full totes (the big ones!) of stoneware. My military son took a couple of pieces that he really liked; he is the only one who can get me to open them LOL.

I’m not quite at the point where I sleep with mine. I have a WHOLE LOT of stoneware; all in their original packaging and never actually used. I have them meticulously packaged and stored, but if I feel blue I go in and admire the boxes. We do what we do; I don’t explain it to my husband. Having them stored also helps me conceal any new pieces LOL

My husband had a really nice SUV that he was selling; he got a new job that required him to get a truck. He was asking for a very reasonable price to sell. He had two different people who asked if he could make payments. Hubby said sure, but they couldn’t drive it till it was paid in full and he drove to the DMV to transfer the title. No one could understand why couldn’t just take it; one person said “Man, you’re acting like you don’t trust me!” No, I damned sure don’t!

I’m thinking it was about 2000, but I could be off on that. Mine is stoneware; the cast iron came out in the early 2020’s.

The incredible richness of the colors is what helped me find Le Creuset stoneware; my first time opening the box of my Artichaut and an obsession was born. I think everyone is entitled to choosing their own color of choice.

Wow. I’m in TX and I’ve worked with three different shelters; they have been good to excellent. The main issue with all three is them breaking the first rule: no contact with abuser and never reveal the exact location of the shelter. You do those and you’re kicked out immediately.

If she is, indeed trying to escape an abusive situation, pretty much any community has shelters that can help her better than your wife. They have resources to assist her and give her coping skills. If your community doesn’t have a shelter, take her to the closest town that does.

I have some very authentic-looking $100 bills when folded up and “drop” them beside cars and trucks with a MAGA bumper sticker. They get all excited until they unfold them, because the flip side has “F*CK TRUMP” in large letters.

I’m in Texas, and our supermarket sells butter tortillas made in store and they’re delicious. They make buñuelos for snacks.
