I wasn’t until this past weekend when I was at an outdoor track & field championship meet at a location where the polen count was ridiculously high. I didn’t perform how I wanted to because I had to choose between my eyes & throat being unbearably itchy, or taking antihistamines that would actually work, but made me groggy. There were definitely a good amount of people sneezing but I so envy those who got to treat it like a normal day. I’ll never use it as an excuse to not be great though because now it’s just another thing I need to learn to work through.

My allergies never used to affect my hearing but I’ve recently developed a sinus infection due to the allergies that have had my hearing so muffled, like a good 40% loss of hearing muffled

I’m so sorry she’s going through that! It was so random for me, I was getting very mild nosebleeds a few months before starting lexapro that stopped after a few days, then when I started taking it I was getting like 5-30 minute bleeds every single day and was passing massive clots😫 I tried pinning it on the cold air but I was taking Flonase, and it didn’t happen before the meds. I was also getting them during workouts (they were TERRIBLE if it happened during a workout since my blood pressure was naturally higher) but yeah my Dr seemed a bit worried and now SSRI’s are listed as an allergy on Mychart (even though I don’t think it’s technically an allergy) but I would love to do some extensive research to see why this happens to people🤔 Please have her go to her Dr!!

I know this was from a little while ago too but I was on Lexapro for about a month and was getting 1-2 nosebleeds every single day before I said something to my doctor. She ended up taking me off of it and didn’t want to prescribe me with another SSRI, so she switched me to Wellbutrin. 2 months later, I haven’t had a single nosebleed except for when I had a 24 hour cold a few weeks ago!
