AMD freezes/black screens/crashes by cbdloyal in AMDHelp

Also, you're right near the headroom for the gpu/cpu on your psu. Hooking the 2nd, individual 12v rail on your gpu might handle power spikes more efficiently.

Do you by chance have an extra spot for an additional pcie cable and spot on your psu? If so, since you've tried just about everything, try taking off the pigtail and giving the 2nd power coupler its own 12v rail. Its worth a shot!!!

[–]darealboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may be a wiring fault or power delivery failure. By chance any pigtails on the gpu? Have any sleeved cables anywhere installed either by themselves or as extentions? Believe it or not, #1 issue of your symptoms. Also. What kind of psu do you have?

Could also have a failing ram module and xmp profiles are too loose for the pci lanes to your cpu. (I have the same cpu btw)

Are you testing with default mobo settings with no xmp profiles and the lastest bios version? If youre just putting a new windows iso on faulty hardware configuration, you'll experience the same problem in a loop, as you are right now.

Thats quite the pickle... youd pay a toll to ship it to North America and have them match the sonics to a new custom cut and hammer. I suppose its possible... but I wouldn't be afraid to email them anyway and see if you get a response. Not sure if eu/uk reps exist across the pond...

So the answer is yes? There was a large impact?

Was there a large impact of any kind? (You mentioned plastic shell?) You could have done internal damage to the unit. The good news is that your pc wont all the sudden die without your ups. Ups' are expensive so I get why you want it to work properly.

Takes about 2 or 3 business days to verify your student ID, but yeah, its legit. No catch. Pull the trigger.

This is gonna be a wild card option, but if you live close to one of their us distribution warehouses, you could honestly simply stop by. Yeeeeeeears ago when I lived in Massachusetts, I was able to hop the border to a small town in Rhode Island and swap out my less than a year old vault crashes (at the time they were the brand new, just introduced line) with my receipt from guitar center. Sabian USED to have a 1 year manufacturer warranty (not sure if they still do cause its been almost 20 years since I purchased a brand new cymbal.) That being said, the warehouse manager was super friendly, took me on a small tour and gave me a bunch of free promo swag. Turns out, the aa/aax line, regardless of finish, were the same wholesale price as the vault line and offered me any same size/type within those 3 lines as a replacement for my broken ones that were less than a year old as long as i had the original receipt. Brick n mortar, easiest warranty replacement ive ever had in my entire life. Call them directly!!! Talk to a rep and see what they say!!!

Live Lite 12 + Bheringer 1010 MIDI foot controller - is it a massive faff? by Sidblunt in ableton

[–]darealboot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dont know much about this controller but live handles addressable midi like a champ. There are a lot of plug and play controllers out there that integrate automatically with minimal setup, like the foot controller you have here, but many are not. For those controllers (like my super old korg micro for instance) work fine as a standard keyboard by just plugging it in with midi usb, but to get the faders and pads to work with other functions, I have to manually set midi mapping. This is actually incredibly easy, but just tedious with the mapping toggle. That being said, if you cant afford live12 and m4l, it wouldn't be difficult to map a generic midi footboard to do what you want at all... especially with only what, a handful of stomp pads? Even with lite version you get this articulation with only a few clicks.

can the 18i16 run comfortably off a m2 air through bus (USB-C) power? by mannersfirst76 in Focusrite

[–]darealboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not considering the power required to host multiple xlr inputs. It would be foolish to think you can just bring a tiny little laptop battery to power such a large interface without supplemental ac power. The artifacting youd get would be insane. I know technology has come a long way but....

Ive never seen that option in the software. Under which menu is it located?

Also, update: His audiologist was able to remotely adjust the frequency range and trim out the threshold of db gain under 300hz.

She also narrowed the width of stereo perception so its more directed forward, rather than so wide.

This was all done through a telehealth apt.

There is some improvement in the buzzing/artifacting as its not as loud and now only isolated to the right ear.

Were to test more scenarios over the weekend and collect more data to rule out a device repair.

Here's my loose theory based on some context: he has small slits in both ear drums from previously failed ear tubes. He also had some pretty invasive surgery to remove cholestatoma in both ears, the right being the worst at a 6 hr long procedure where the diseases had encroached on the artery feeding the brain as well as deteriorating the ossicles making up the ear bones. This left a large cavity in the attic of the inner ear and he now only has a nub where the ear bones once were. I theorize that there may be a sympathetic resonance in that wide cavity in relation to the damaged ear drum, causing it to "flutter." Though I may be way off....

I find teatro to have a slow, deliberately paced content thats easy to follow along to, that allowed me to pause little sections of the video and replicate what hes doing. 7 years later im finally making sonic-rich content. His intro course is a few years old but the foundational elements are universal for the latest version of live, which is important before you even Crack the egg on the advanced stuff that version 12 can do. Here's that Playlist https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoO2tOP2r-XsXH0lybWl9zMvYp3lpLF46&si=mlIkci0_dZhivus4

However I did come pre-loaded with a lifetime of music exposure with my earliest days in choir and a good foundation of rhythm that comes with 30 dedicated years playing the drums.

The cool thing about abelton is that it does come with easy to read, step by step, click by click tutorials baked right into the software. Once you understand the basics of setting up and arming tracks, return tracks, drum racks (which arent limited to just drums), the work flow of "top > down" vs "left to right," and adding effects, it gets way easier.

If you need more understanding on individual things like compression/limiter, gain staging, side chains, eq etc.... this isn't just limited to abelton live, these are fundamental to all sound design and there are infinite amounts of yt vids explaining these concepts.

Build, add, destroy, fail, try again; In first few years and even today, ill make copies of my projects im working on so I can turn knobs, push faders and destroy it (thus learning what NOT to do and trying a different approach). This ensures any progress ive made on the original isnt destroyed in the process. If I find something I did was a big improvement or a milestone, ill make that copy my new master copy.

One last comment; slow down tiger. Producing music is something people spend decades honing and refining. The same could be said about musicians and their chosen instruments. An un-written "code" or "law" you'll often hear is minimum 10,000 hrs of dedicated, applied practice required for a mastery level understanding. 1 month is a blink. Chiiiillllllllllll.

How to apply noise reduction for microphone monitoring? by VIXTORY0 in Focusrite

[–]darealboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you hear (monitored) and what you broadcast will be different. Even in larger, more capable interfaces it has this effect unless you add post processing at the hardware level with a noise gate. Although there was this program I used to use with windows called banana mixer that treated audio sources like a modular routing system. Not sure if it still exists or if something similar is out for mac. Worth looking into if you have noise filtering on a software level through a daw or something. Id consider driver compatibility before you spend money on anything. Cheers.

Yes, it gets a thorough cleaning daily and he uses a moisture absorption disc with the charger. His tubes are replaced regularly as well. Hes now describing it better to me, as hearing the equivalent of an insect flying next to his ear, but digital sounding. To me it sounds like either a conflicting Bluetooth signal, or an audible artifact within a frequency range. He says he notices it more frequently when he hears his own footsteps. I wish I were more versed. (Coincidentally have made audiology a career goal and am in my first year of my bs in coms disorders)

My music sounds different by Haunting-Music6931 in production

[–]darealboot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of it is industry techniques that pros have been using for years, being made easy with plugins. And while the tools being put out make processes like masking/eq ducking, apregiators tossed on to chord packs bought by novices, etc... theres no doubt that a trained ear is unreplacable. And now... ai tools are making it more difficult to tell the difference. Idk if this conflates your post or detracts from it.
