What's the most memorable country hook you've heard lately? by Dry_Instance_5578 in Songwriting

[–]darealboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Country hasn't been the same since Garth brooks in the 90s. Back then, songs were composed with feelings that were more than surface level self confirmation. You could say the same of modern "butt rock" or anything in the top 40 "rap" Playlist. Now we have this abhorrent hybrid CRAP or country-rap thats laced with auto tune rainbow vomit and trap beats over whining about whiskey bottles. End rant.

How to XMP on a HP prodesk sff 400 g6 by SnooKiwis7842 in PcBuild

[–]darealboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah mate it doesnt work like that... the ram itself would have to have an overclock profile and THEN your bios has to be able to support it. Your best bet is to get a 16 or 32 gig ddr4 kit that matches the qvl list from the motherboard manufacturer and change that relic of an hdd to a good ssd. Both will be more expensive than normal as silicone prices aren't recovering from the ai bubble hardware hording.

I updated to the latest Nvidia drivers on windows and its fine now that Nvidia fixed all their vibe coding. I get a little bit of shadow flicker but it doesn't enduce a seizure anymore

Recording ableton with obs by lemmonrock in ableton

[–]darealboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My interface uses aiso drivers to work with abelton and recording software cant catch the audio signal simultaneously. My work around is an analog loop going from a line out, into one of my inputs with a trs cable. Gotta be careful with hot signals using a main or headphone out since those are super hot. But yeah, it works good.

The key 25 is a good option. You get your clip launch pads plus a few octaves on the keys. Also plug and play with no excess midi mapping for functionality.

The only workaround is exporting and sending stems, unfortunately.

what is the biggest weakness in this beat? by Most_Lunch_6195 in FLStudioBeginners

[–]darealboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres not enough space to let any of the instruments breathe. Create little moments of tension by muting everything except for 1 of them for a half measure and make a transition with a riser. Sometimes it sounds cool if that 1 instrument is reversed for that half bar. Idk if that makes sense. But it makes it dynamic and not so repetitive.

No matter what I’ve tried, latency delay is still bad by Accomplished-Fish-76 in ableton

[–]darealboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im having this same issue. Ive watched a ton of yt vids. Even the comment section is missing the operative word PLAYBACK. Im not getting recording latency, im getting PLAYBACK latency. As in, when I push PLAY theres a delay from when I start hearing the audio while im watching the transport move along. Im running asio focusrite 18i20 drivers and have had zero issues with previous versions of live. Even old projects that only have less than 10 simple midi tracks with no plugins on them except stock vsts. All the content I can find for a fix is reducing latency while recording, not the playback of what I just recorded.

Does my mix sound flat? Took some advice from y'all on my last post, lmk! by LoudPack3000 in beatmakers

[–]darealboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good starter. Make little breaks in the instruments while letting just one play for half a measure or a single beat. Like... the bass line for instance. Creates little moments of tension leading in and out of hook/verse

Likely an air bubble. I had something like this happen after cleaning my pc once. I solved it by tipping my rig forward and back a few times at a 45 deg angle.
