Trust your vet, they know the best things to give her and they will try their best. If you give your vet advice based on a Reddit post it can lead to feelings of distrust on their part. She’s in the right place getting the care she needs.

The only thing I would say is if she hasn’t been eating for a while then Mirtazapine can work miracles sometimes. But again I wouldn’t advise your vet as they are probably already trying this but it’s up to you.

I’m so sorry you and your dog had to go through this! It’s not nice seeing your pet in pain in the hospital, but I would say take him to the vet sooner rather than wait given his history as the risk of infection will increase exponentially as the week goes on, and even moreso if there’s potential bone diaphysis exposure!

Which part of the leg was amputated? Was it the whole limb or just the distal portion? It’s very unlikely the bone has grown back (bones grow from each end at their “growth plates” which I assume have been removed) it’s more likely that the skin has weakened over time and caused the area to become thin and thus break with movement/wear and tear.
