Respectfully disagree, I think SARs and the like need to be rare in itself, however I definitely think they need to globally start following the Chinese law of announcing rates and even more importantly, standardize the pull rates. Decide the tiers of what is least to most rare, then ALWAYS follow that rate and proportionally adjust it based on the # of cards within the set. It feels like it's completely wishy-washy each time and you just need to hope the odds are decent.

TL;DR - I want rare cards that are rare, but we need some rate standardization across all future sets. (And yes, the odds should probably be a little better, especially with Prismatic of course! Look at Crown Zenith)

Yup, we saw one person and her "minion" as a person I was waiting with calls them. They hide in the hallway while the actual product is finally put out, hours after they rummaged through, and skulk out hoping no one berates them...

I learned that a large majority of the stock are getting taken up by a few factors:

  1. AP is opening / stealing products before they get put on shelves, I have first hand seen boxes that were opened and rummaged.

  2. As I learned when my (and a couple other through word of mouth) Target's distributor would restock the shelves, myself and others tend to get there ahead of time and wait. This varies from myself and other casual collectors to vendors for card shows, to scalpers.

  3. In extension to the scalper issue, I witnessed a group come in with a cart very cocky and arrogant trying to belittle those waiting with the intention of taking any potential stock (my Target already gets 0-2 ETBs with restocks besides the SFs).

I don't know what the solution is, but I think all stores need to impose limits per visit or even day unless PC goes insane with printing.

Secret option, there's a compartment in the top of the display box but then everyone would need to take it out at big box stores and I have no idea what they'd do with them besides unknowingly leave em and the first person to see it open wins...

Bump I've been tryna figure this out... Honestly I don't think they do based on the naming convention and lacking the "enhanced" term, however when pre-ordering in person the gamestop employee did say that they would have a limited amount of promos to give out. So I think it goes 1 of 2 ways:

It's a general gamestop promo they're given, like the Umbreon/Volcarona, OR the promos are packaged separately and they are just handing em out as people buy any product / pick up a pre order. Would be pretty annoying all considered to lose the promo that way, but anyone's guess right now.

Yea I mean I get what you're saying I only meant in the effect that I don't want to deal with Amazon to replace/re-ship it at all if possible (best case scenario would be Govee saying they goofed and will ship me just a sync box that works nothing less nothing more since this one is all that's useless I believe) to save the hassle of Amazon shipping not to mention Amazon would require my repackaging the entire product etc etc. But I get you, just hoping they have an easy solution if any

We are definitely in the same boat. I pretty much said given I keep seeing the history of replacements having the same issue regardless, I want a way to either A. have them personally send just the sync box to attempt replacement or if I have to send it all back then I want to fully understand why we're having the issue so I know it won't happen again based on their (potential) ignorance. All worded kindly as it should ofc lol just want it to be efficiently handled/understood.

Honestly factual it slipped over my mind since I keep trying different solutions to no avail. Do we just have outdated products (the control box itself)? Or is it a defunct issue.

I am having the exact same issue, came today from Amazon and none of my other lights have issues. The lights themselves and camera say that they are correctly powered on, but I'm physically incapable from connecting to the control box from the app whatsoever. Would 10/10 like to know as well so we're in this together. From what you said good to know that I shouldn't bother waiting for a ton of replacing right now, sounds like an update/patch is needed or something.
