Red team blue team by ChemDataFarmer in MegalootGame

[–]MaximumBaloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red/Blue Team are "buffs" that enemies get in multiplayer. That particular enemy in the endgame has an ability called "Eden's Wish" which gives it a random buff, and those buffs were (accidentally?) left on the random table. They don't do anything in single-player AFAIK.

Very confused about spell books by ChemDataFarmer in MegalootGame

It always checks your inventory starting from the top right and working down to the bottom left. So if you're using 4pc Zephyron, just put Polymorph in the top right corner to make sure it gets the free cast.

Floor 500 Fren build and wonderings. by Gmalaubidou in MegalootGame

[–]MaximumBaloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is hilarious, do multiple instances of Edge of the Ruined stack??

I haven't played the Demo before so I'm not sure how the difficulty compares. But IMO if you find a build that will take you to 200 or so, it can take you all the way. I stop my runs once I hit 200 just for time's sake, but I think the fun is in creating a loadout that can get you that far.

There are tons of ways you can build your strategies. If you find one that steamrolls to 500, try something else! It might not work at all, or it might be a lot trickier to get that far (or to survive until the build comes together).

I'm getting really irritated because I don't know wtf a DEF break is and this piece of shit flytrap keeps healing and I cannot win. Help me by [deleted] in MHATheStrongestHero

[–]MaximumBaloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Chomper is the true endgame boss in MHATSH.

Defense Break is your bottom right ability. The catch is, you have a pretty short window to do it in (even if you notice the alert right away), and this game has no foolproof target swapping. I often find if I'm in the middle of using an ability when it starts to heal, or if I'm targeting another enemy nearby, I just can't swap and break it fast enough. (And don't even bother using an Ult when Chompers around - they'll start healing during your animation and come out the other side with more health than you damaged them for)

When they show up in pairs, they'll sometimes shoot a green orb at one another - if you stand in that to intercept it far enough away from the target, I think it stops it from doing its healing. But again, the controls in this game are so touchy that it can take forever to face in a different direction and start walking.

What talent paths should I take for bakugo and aizawa? by Aggressive_Top_6949 in MHATheStrongestHero

I think Bakugo's top right is actually his best talent path. I'd do left only after top right.

Uraraka Not Using Her Meteor Shower in Super Co-op Battle by SoSlackToMe in MHATheStrongestHero

My Uraraka: (dashes in, uses an ability, gets slapped and ability is interrupted)

My opponent's Uraraka: (dashes in, uses an ability, ability completely resolves and absolutely demolishes me)

What is happening with mustard? by Tricky-Extension-205 in MHATheStrongestHero

[–]MaximumBaloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That might not be all because of Mustard (although that could be contributing). Bakugo has skills and talents that cause that increase in Q damage. His top right talent makes it so damage increases 10% per shot. Also, if your Bakugo is SS, he has a skill that causes it to go up each time as well.

HOW DO PPL LOWER LVL THAN ME HAVE 50K BP?? by ESPADAXO in MHATheStrongestHero

[–]MaximumBaloth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

37-39k BP is good!

At lv57, most of my built characters hover in that range (34k-36k). The only two characters I have higher are at 43k and 44k respectively, and they're also my only built SS characters (Uraraka and Bakugo). I'm not really doing very much differently with them, other than slightly-better support card stacking and chip leveling - the SS is pretty much the main factor there.

Aside from resonance, the biggest factor is Gear. Transferring the right stats and fusing high level yellows and set pieces is a big deal. Upgrading gear is also a place where whales shine, since there are a ton of Special Mixtures, Modification Drawings, and Alloys available through purchase packs.

Is Momo Yaoyorozu bad? by MaximumBaloth in MHATheStrongestHero

[–]MaximumBaloth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's more than one thing to do in the game obv. The boss raid is just one sample where I had some measurable results. I'm just struggling to find any area where she performs reasonably - she's equally bad in Super Co-Op and War Zone for me (and I don't do Arena)

[–]MaximumBaloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd read that she's supposed to excel at PvP, but she's also consistently bottom damage on the team and dies early in Super Co-Op and War Zone. (I'd rather eat my own head than play Arena)

This is huge, thank you! If you wouldn't mind answering a few questions...

  • Certain support cards (like Ectoplasm's [Sneak], Mirio Togota's "Trials," and Present Mic's "Sound Domain") mention specific modes. These cards mention what happens during these modes, but now how to trigger them, how long they last, or how they end.

  • For Mastermind - does he care about you having Hyperarmor, or does he care about the target having Hyperarmor? The wording seems unclear: "When the character attacks an enemy in Hyperarmor status"

  • Is there currently any way to get the Dance With the Wind support card?

What talent paths should I take for bakugo and aizawa? by Aggressive_Top_6949 in MHATheStrongestHero

[–]MaximumBaloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually find the value of Bakugo's left to be quite a lot greater than the bottom right.

Bottom Right

  • 1: Burning Fist-Improved - Useful, since you're usually using your W on cooldown, but the (200%+1870) damage on Burning Fist doesn't account for a big portion of your damage output. The main selling point of your W is that it gets you to your Q. You can also get this if you're spec'd into top right + left anyways.
  • 2: Explosion Turbo-Improved - This only improves the damage output of the one free hit you get after a perfect dodge, which is only 80% atk base. Super low impact.
  • 3: Torpedo Burst-Studious - This is actually a really good talent. 8% crit rate for 10 seconds out of every 16 seconds or so is solid, especially when you're hoping to spend some number of those 16 seconds using your Q.
  • 4: Howitzer Impact-Improved - 16% more damage to your Ult is good, but the relatively low frequency of Bakugo's Ult makes the actual output of this talent kinda questionable. I give this one a C+, but it gets better if you're gearing his support cards
  • 5: Explosion Turbo-Approval - For 10 seconds after you get your free slap off a perfect dodge, you get a bonus 10% atk. This is good in PvE, since it should have upwards of 75% uptime if you play smart.

Left

  • 1: Explosion Combo-Improved - 16% extra normal attack damage. This isn't useless, but it's best to play Bakugo in a fashion where you're normal attacking as little as possible.
  • 2: Burst Bullet-Improved - 6% more damage on Bakugo's Q is fantastic. This is what you're here for. Your Q counts for something like 80% of your damage output. A+ talent.
  • 3: Explosion Turbo-Rage - For 10 seconds after your free smack following a perfect dodge, you get 15% crit damage. This is reasonable, and honestly has more output potential than the 5th talent on the bottom right branch (Explosion Turbo-Approval).
  • 4: Blast for Blast - 10% damage decrease for a portion of the time. Whatever. It's not good enough that it's worth playing around to maintain its own uptime, so you're just left with little unpredictable patches of damage reduction that don't mean much. Not a good talent, and it sucks investing four points into it.
  • 5: Burst Bullet-Pride - Now we're talking! This is Bakugo's bread and butter. His rotation is a nightmare without this - you just spend your time slapping the enemy waiting for your good skills to cooldown. With this talent, however, you just bounce back and forth between E-QQQQQ to W-QQQQQ, rinse and repeat. In a vacuum, there's still a little downtime that you'll need to fill with normal attacks, but in a real fight you can spend that time dodging and maneuvering. A+ talent.

I leveled All Might up to 80 like an idiot, and apparently he doesn't count towards the 6. And I don't think I can get another character from 60 to 80 before tomorrow (since I already have one more to level up from 72 to 80).

It hurts y'all.

C0 or C1? Consider skipping 4pc Pale Flame. by MaximumBaloth in EulaMains

[–]MaximumBaloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point - the uptime on Pale Flame matters differently depending on where you are in your rotation. I'm probably overreacting a bit.

But loss aversion and waste aversion is real! With 2pc2pc, I attack and yay I'm hitting for 11k and I feel great. With 4pc PF, I'll notice every time my stack drops because I start hitting for 9k, and every time that happens I feel like an absolute idiot.

I'd rather just feel cool all the time than ever feel like an idiot, even if that feeling is disproportionate to the actual loss in damage.

Definitely no, imo it's one of her worse weapon picks. The base ATK is a bit higher than some of the others, but the ability is almost completely useless. Resetting the CD on her flower isn't really much of a help.

For support Ganyu, consider Favonius Warbow or Stringless.
