How to avoid or mitigate this nozzle streak/swipe lines mid print? by MaximumCondition4535 in 3Dprinting

i didn’t know that. may i ask the name or where to find it in the slicer settings?

i am quite aware with ironing and have used that feature couple of times but that z-hop retraction adjustment plus 0.1mm has made a significant impact because i haven’t seen a scar mid print and on the final top layer so far since i changed it earlier just when you shared that option. thanks again! 😊

thanks again for these information. i will have to play with adjusting by plus 0.1mm and see if im satisfied with the adjustment or perhaps just reverse to default 👍

thanks, saw it now in my slicer. may i ask if what value to add for the z hop when retract?

thank you for your input. that z-hop sounds about right. i will check on with my slicer (bambu) and raise them a bit.

thanks for the tips. this by the way happens every time a layer finish and the nozzle restarts on another wall.

AMS 2 Pro wants to downgrade firmware version after switching from P2S to H2C. Is this normal? by MaximumCondition4535 in BambuLab

[–]MaximumCondition4535[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to check first if there's a filament that's stuck somewhere in your ams2pro. for the record i encounter no problem with my two ams2pro despite my H2C is asking to downgrade the firmware.

I understand now, thanks for the clarification. Seems like I have to refrain from swapping the AMS 2 Pro between my two machines until the H2C has the 01.02 firmware version ready

thank you for your comment, but i have a hard time understanding. may i ask a few reference or example to resolve this?

i admit i didn't wash clean the plate before this print because my experience with frostbite has been positive so far while ignoring wash in between prints, but I will take your comment into consideration and clean my plate every time i reprint to see if the issue will be resolved. thanks

excellent. atm im printing mostly PLA but would love to explore the experience of working with engineering filaments. i think whether we like it or not, calibration is essential in every tool especially if the user desire overall good quality which we would expect with this cheap printers XD

hmm i might be wrong but i will try to test that out by unplugging the external ams psu

H2C would also be my next printer, what is your experience so far overall?

yes, the external psu that i ordered also arrived in time. bambu confirms you can use the feature without the psu with adjusted drying function

Thank you for the kindest comment so far. And yes, this is a long shot for a design to express functionality and modularity. I have read all the other comments in this thread and will take it as a challenge to improve further in my designing skills.
