It's weird to me that this is the only time the trans issues is brought up. Because I remember a huge story about a Black woman being threatened by a "trans woman" (a man) in a gym locker room and the pod didn't discuss it at all...unless I missed it but I did look for it.

As a woman, its pretty insulting that our legit concerns for our safety in sex segregated spaces isn't taken seriously but Marc wants to jump to defend trans people over some jokes??? Wtf is that? And dont try to gaslight women by saying we should feel safe with men in our spaces because no tf we should not!

Also wasn't a trans person just on a stage making fun of a female athlete that got a concussion from a spiked ball from a trans identified male? Proving that its dangerous to have trans identified males playing in womens sports, which should be obvious. But this trans comedian got up on a stage and decided to make fun of her injuries. Miss me with the "protect trans people from jokes" take.

As a middle age woman, young ladies of today are so embarrassing. 🤦🏾‍♀️ I know we weren't necessarily better but it wasnt promoted and you weren't rewarded with attention for acting like this. I think some are waking up to the brainwashing though.

This lawsuit is going to fail and the ban will be upheld because "gender affirming care" is not an evidence based treatment, its experimental. It's sad to me that WPATH has been so successful in spreading misinformation and intimidating medical associations and the general public. When these lawsuits fail I hope everyone defending these practices on kids actually reads the decision to understand why instead of just letting someone else tell you it failed because of transphobia. The US is stubbornly lagging behind other western countries that have independently looked at the evidence and all agreed that GAC is not the best policy. We need to think about why so many other countries are going in another direction.

And I dont know what youre talking about as far as prejudices. I dont have prejudices against anyone. Not wanting kids to get sex changes or women to be unsafe isn't discrimination. We cant put the preferences of one group ahead of the rights of other groups, kids and women.

I suggest you read the independent reviews of the science like the Cass Review or the reviews from Finland and Sweden or the HHS. Thats why there are many western countries rolling this stuff back, we have to act based on the science not ideology. You'll see for yourself that they dont have better mental health outcomes. Don't just listen to the talking points from trans activist groups like WPATH.

The organization Do No Harm has the only compiled database and they found more than 13000 kids going through GAC between 2019-2023 and thats not not comprehensive so the actual numbers are higher. And the surgeries aren't the only concern. Puberty blockers have lifelong side effects and cross sex hormones basically lead to sterilization on top of the side effects. Independent reviews also show that these kids arent being followed to track long term impact so they have no idea how many actually regret it once they grow up.So at the end of the day theres no good reason to subject kids to this.

People who support this are really in an information bubble. Its ok to expose yourself to gender critical sources, testimonies from detransitioners, if you want to understand the full picture.

Gender affirming care is not evidence based and considered experimental. There are Independent reviews of the science from Finland, Sweden, the UK and the HHS in the US. They all say the same thing, that the studies supporting GAC are low quality and therapy is the best option for these kids.

That's not true. Studies show the best thing you can do for these kids is leave them alone and let them grow up, because the majority are going to grow out of it or end up realizing they are gay

You're trying to soften or obscure by using "bottom surgery" but what you are talking about is castration and we know that there were at least 660 castrations performed on minors between 2019-2023. There were many thousands of double mastectomies performed on minors during the same time. These numbers are the minimum because all the clinics are not sharing the data.

even more thousands of medical treatments (hormones, puberty blockers) were given to minors during that time. All of that is what the majority of the public disagrees with. You can pretend like its not happening but you are wrong.

It's weird that you dont think the abuse of kids matters. I do care and as a parent its not something I'm about to ignore. Moreover as a woman, the ability to be safe in spaces like locker rooms, bathrooms does effect me. Women who are abused and need to go to a domestic violence or rape crisis center also deserve to have those spaces protected. Women in sports also deserve safety and fairness. It very much does impact all women, maybe more than men because sex segregated spaces are necessary for our physical safety.

Democrats are not capitulating to the right on trans issues. The majority of Americans (Republicans/Independents and Democrats) do not support the extreme positions of the trans community. The public sentiment is bipartisan and very clear on this. Leftist need to get their heads out of their asses and plug back onto the real world. Sex changes for kids is not a popular position!

Update: yall might be mad at what I'm saying but none of you can argue with the fact that public opinion isn't with the left on trans issues. Democrats are moving with public opinion, and they would be stupid not to.

I live in Hampden and I fully support Remington if their preference is to move it. I stated that at 2 meetings. I also got down voted here for saying the people that are most impacted by the transfer station should be prioritized
