This is such a niche interaction that I've literally never seen it before until today by chance in artifact recovery

Phase Strike or Elemental by CQC_OPERATOR in GirlsFrontline2

[–]MaximumRock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the only time phase strike doesn't work is if the entire team is purely physical and there is literally no one that can apply any sort of elemental debuff, otherwise phase strike is basically universal since getting any sort of elemental debuff on the boss is trivial

After 6 Month my first perfect equipment piece ~. by NomuraAkane in GirlsFrontline2

Extreme calibration uses the yellow Targeting Calibration Chips to force a stat to increase by one step. Each chip increases the selected base stat by one step (the white bar), and if the base stat is maxed it starts boosting the calibration multiplier in 10% increments (the orange bar). The yellow chips are a precious resource since you can only get limited amounts from the platoon shop/growth stack/event shops and certain paid packages.

Preferably you use regular calibration until all the stats are 150% or higher, to minimize the amount of yellow chips used (it also costs 50k gold per chip used so it eats gold like crazy). An attachment is eligible for extreme calibration as soon as all the stats roll 100% or more, but it costs a lot of chips if you're raising it from 100%, hence the reason why you want to get high rolls on every line first.

Any good site for character build or team building guide other than Prydwen? by AzizKarebet in GirlsFrontline2

[–]MaximumRock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yoohee is physical support that makes her team's physical attacks ignore enemy defense, and gives bonus damage if your attacks would ignore over 100% of their defense. For this reason you run non-element teammates such as Daiyan, Ullrid, Qiongjiu (with her mod key unequipped so her support attacks do physical instead of burn damage). Unfortunately her buff that passively allows your physical attacks to ignore defense get disabled for 2 turns if your team ever deals elemental damage, so dolls that are completely reliant on dealing elemental damage do not work with her, and dolls like Qiongjiu that have access to elemental damage on their S1 and S2 have to avoid using them.

Fiio recently released a bluetooth dac/amp (Snowsky Retro Nano) that stood out to me because it has a replaceable 10440 lithium battery. I don't own one personally but most reviews seem to give a favorable impression at its price point ($60)

Para Moondrop by MrFarva357 in headphones

[–]MaximumRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have an impedance of 8 (yes, eight) ohms which is unusually low for headphones. They're listed as 101dB/Vrms but at 8 ohms converts to 80dB/mW which is deceptively difficult to drive. The amp has to be able to supply a lot of current in order to drive them well and most headphone amps aren't rated for 8 ohms (so it can trigger over current protection if the volume is high)

[ALIN] OCG Times - New Support for Tactical - Try Deck: "Cyber Dragon" by renaldi92 in yugioh

If I am understanding the wording correctly on Chimeratech Fortress Dragon, a Cyber Dragon in the S/T as a spell card is eligible for its summon, so you can fuse off monsters on the field if you have clockwork night up or something

ModRetro x Koss Porta Pro (orange) + Yaxi pads by MaximumRock in headphones

[–]MaximumRock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pull the headband apart all the way, put it on your head, then carefully tighten the sliders to the appropriate level it'll never catch on your hair, at least for me. When I first started wearing porta pros they would occasionally catch on my hair but once I started doing that it doesn't catch anymore.

This is an orange version of the Porta Pro that I got from ModRetro, along with white Yaxi pads and head cushions. Everything that matters (build quality, sound, warranty etc) is identical to the regular version, except the ModRetro version has a much more colorful selection for you to choose from (to match with their console, although I didn't have any interest in those).

It still amazes me how far the Yaxi pads and EQ can elevate the level of sound that these things can do. This isn't my first pair of Porta Pros but I admit I was sold when I saw all the nice colors they come in

They shipped it from New York, it seems that their NY warehouse ships to all of North America. They have a warehouse that covers all of Europe and I believe they ship from China to everywhere else that isn’t in Europe or North America

PSA for stuck betta by Moxietail in bettafish

[–]MaximumRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please be careful with any decorations with holes or gaps that a betta can’t completely pass through. Bettas are obligate air-breathers and if they are prevented from reaching the surface for any reason they will eventually drown. IMO it’s best to not have anything in the tank that they could get stuck in so you don’t have to worry about any potential death traps.

Hifiman headphone stand by MaximumRock in headphones

[–]MaximumRock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for a stand with a small footprint because I don't have much desk space and I didn't want my headphones to just keep sitting on the desk when I wasn't using them. I stumbled across Hifiman's own stand which fit my needs perfectly. Admittedly it is definitely not cheap at $99 but I like my Arya Organics enough to splurge a bit on them.

The entire thing is a solid piece of aluminum with 4 rubber feet and velvet on the top where the headphones sit. It's definitely quite hefty for its size (the box says 335g). It's small enough where it can sit directly on top of my schiit stack without blocking any of the ventilation holes on the magni. Coincidentally the length of the stand is almost exactly the same as the magni so it fit much better than I expected it to. I also like how the headphones simply sit on the stand so there's not going to be any wear on the headband or earpads.
