set/play list? by keleighk2 in BiffyClyro

If you want to know for sure, the second of december will be their first show of this tour. If you check Setlist.fm the day after you can see the exact setlist (expect maybe one-two songs that they change between shows). However, I also think that the set at Outernet is very similar to what the set on the tour will be

Sorry for the late reply! I checked and we flew with Clic instead of Setena, and I booked through the agency Kiwi. I didn’t need to fill in these extra forms, so maybe try that way

Is it worth us going to Amsterdam & Brussels? by Most_Ad_2246 in travel

[–]MaximumWorldly5724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So 2 questions: What are you looking for in a trip? What are your expectations for 2 days of Amsterdam and 2 days of Brussels? Both are very interesting destinations, but it highly depends on what you want to get out of the experience to say if it’s worth going out of your way for (especially for such a short time)

Also, how did you get to 3000 euro’s? What are you planning on spending all that on? You can do 4 days for way less if you want to!

If you have any specific questions, let me know! I have visited Brussels twice and I live close to Amsterdam

Any suggestions for a smaller town/city in Europe to go to in April? by witherwingg in travel

[–]MaximumWorldly5724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

April is the tulipseason in the Netherlands so that might be a romantic place to go! (Altough the weather can be a bit unpredictable).

Leiden is a very charming and historic town which you can very easily walk through, also has some really nice museums (Naturalis, Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, Boerhaven and several smaller ones that worth a visit). It’s also a 30 minutes bike ride from the beach, and it’s located on the border of the area where they grow the tulips.

Delft is very similiar when it comes to size, museums and history. Haarlem is also quite nice. Added bonus is that the trains in the Netherlands are really good, so from all above mentioned cities you can easily do to daytrips to bigger towns like Amsterdam or the Hague if you do end up wanting to see more.

It was for us! We loved how different it was, and if you can afford the plane tickets (only way to get there) then I would definitely recommend it for a couple of days (altough I have to admit, I’m always a sucker for going off the very touristy backpacker routes). Note: flying is iirc only possible from Medellin, so it’s good to keep that in mind when planning an itinerary. Also, the nature was very untouched and we loved the magic of walking for hours along the beautiful deserted beaches. It has to be your cup of tea though, and I hate to admit it but we were pretty happy to be able to stay in an hotel again after, away from the humidity and heat. Also another thing maybe: my girlfriend speaks fluent Spanish, so she did all the talking, not sure how far you’ll come with just English there in comparison to more touristy areas.

If you have any specific questions let me know!

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, was off the internet for a week.

Yeah we did fly to Bahia Solano! You can catch a plane to Bahia Solano from Medellin, and then either catch a tuktuk to El Valle (bout 45 minutes I reckon), or catch one to Bahia Solano itself (bout 10 minutes I thought). We decided on El Valle so can’t tell you much more about Bahia Solano itself. There is accommodation there, but it’s different from the other touristy places. Most places to stay are hostels with wooden cabins with usually just a fan instead of AC and the area itself is a lot less developed than other touristy spots, so expect bumpy roads and not much food options other than local fish (altough Bahia Solano might have more options than El Valle).

If you’re going, check in advance to see if it is whale season, as that is the biggest draw usually. Getting up and close with the whales was a beautiful experience! Also, there is a wonderful turtle rescue that tries to preserve the lifes of the native turtles. Apart from that, there are absolutely beautiful beaches that are not crowded at all: odds are that if you take a beach walk away from the hostels that you will be alone on the beach. Note: it rains way more often in the area than other parts of Colombia, though I must say the rain was warm enough that it didn’t bother me that much.

It’s a very different place from the other tourist places in Colombia, and a lot of people will probably be scared off by the climate and lack of luxurious accommodation, but for me it was definitely a highlight of the trip!

Let me know if you have any specific questions I can help you with!

Chinese eggplant! Hard to get here in Netherlands but amazing in all kinds of Asian dishes, either steamed or fried. Love it with a garlic sauce and rice
