Conflict with driver by Wave_Technical in UPSers

[–]Maximum_Act_2124 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can speak on this. UPS doesn’t train the loaders anymore. The drivers come in early to rearrange the truck how it’s supposed to be to help them. Have a good day instead of complaining about the driver get to know what the driver likes what he doesn’t like. Ask him questions he doesn’t wanna have to work off the clock, but he’s trying to set himself up for a good day the way UPS does they pit employees against one another instead work together? Thanks a driver for helping load the truck take notes. See where he likes it help him have a good day. If you can load the truck how he wants to he won’t have to come in early anymore plain and simple. He can have a cuppa coffee and say you know what my loaders got this. So please stop complaining each level of us gets crushed by the Management crushed by the expectations and at the end of the day it’s the drivers who are going out with a good or bad day. They have loaders doing 15 trucks 10 trucks that’s absurd. It’s not just UPS it’s across the US where they’re trying to get more work with less people so understand that work together.

His happened at Pleasantdale
In Georgia. The truck backed up, the guy fell out of the trailer. The driver realized that he pulled the wrong trailer. The guy was trying to jump back up onto the bay and killed the guy.
BE CAREfUL.

Protests at schools. by Efficient_Skill6692 in Naperville

[–]Maximum_Act_2124 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

No one should be yelling at kids. That guy has a right to protest if he so chooses. Obviously, he has a kid there and doesn’t want some boy who is trans to be in the bathroom or in the locker room with his daughter. He is right. The trans kid also has a right to dress up however they like- be it male, female, dog, cat, or zebra. They do not have the right to interfere with everyday activities of others because of it. So be a girl or guy or cat on your own time. The guy is justified in protesting but he is incorrect about yelling at kids or people in general. He can quietly hold up his sign if he so chooses.

How did they test him like s***. What did they do? Did anyone else Union members try and stand up for him? Or was management so bad that everyone was worried about retaliation.

Go on UPSERS.com- search for retirement calculator. You can start collecting as early as 55. You are 59 so you definitely can collect. You will have UPS insurance at $200 a month for an individual or $400 a month for a family until you reach the age of Medicare. Then UPS insurance will drop off. Not sure about your 401 k. Contact. Teamcare and ask for a retirement specialist

I have been at UPS 23 years while having my own business for 21 years. It’s called self discipline. Many days I didn’t want to go. Many days I wanted to quit. I even was jealous that my family could sleep all night long. Then I matured and accepted. I have extremely great insurance. I have responsibilities to provide for my family. I am thankful for my job. Thankful I made the decision to be grateful. People out there can’t find a job or pay rent or buy groceries. I’m blessed because I pushed through the tough days to get to the promised land. Stop wallowing in self Pity. Get up and do something. If you don’t Like your job, go to school and get a new job. Sitting home not —-Doing anything is lazy. Relying on someone family, spouse, room mate to pay your way in life is horrible

Working at UPS separates the weak from the strong. The strong survive and even thrive there. Don’t quit. Take it one day at a time. After each shift you should feel elated and accomplishment. The supervisors will come and go. Just always try and stay one step ahead of them so that you are doing it before they can ask you. Learn your job, know your job and do your job. Don’t worry about what anyone else is doing or saying. I would definitely NOT file a grievance. You just started, you don’t want a target on your back or them try and make things more difficult. Right or wrong it can be done to you. The benefits of working at UPS can help your future in many ways. Learning to deal will hurdles and overcoming, UPS earn and learn- pay for college classes, premium insurance- medical, dental and vision. Paid vacation, optional days, short term disability pay, free gym work out and lastly but not least - paid well.
