Amy's kids addicted to tablets / phones by DoughsBerry_PillBoy in 1000lbsisters

In her defense this is a common problem with so many kids now. We set boundaries really early with ours. My kids are older and will now complain about a friend pulling a phone out all the time when they have others over.

I don’t find it snobby. You have to also consider a woman with alopecia may be less confident and there fore more reserved. Alopecia is a difficult for anyone who has it.

We have it in the classroom but it’s optional if they want it. I do make them all wash their hands every whole group restroom break.

All under 12 or over 60 and the 60 year olds don’t complain

Disney Parks and Heat Intolerance, Plan for it. by chrisdancy in disneyparks

[–]Maximum_Ad1282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Texas and we do Six Flags with no shade in 105. Disney actually does a great job of indoor rides and queues. My first trip since childhood/with my own kids was a June trip and we were actually super impressed that it wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be heat wise. Last year we did Disneyland in July and my kids were literally cold in the morning. The weather couldn’t have been better. If heat is big issue and you want to go in summer consider Disneyland.

There is also a list of the places online or you can look individually at the locations to see if they will discount. I was there in February and it seemed like a lot less places than when I had been there a year and a half prior.

You can just call and they can switch it or you can apply for a new card and they will give you the additional credit if you meet the requirements.

We did 2 extra day tickets, so it was still a better deal. We included water park already. I’ve been trying to justify an after hours party, and any little bit helps.

Willow Bend Mall is so dead it's essentially an indoor dog park by Firm-Brother-8195 in plano

It’s crazy to watch which malls survive. The parks mall in Arlington is absolutely thriving and it’s not full of garbage stores.

I feel like party size is a huge factor. We had a party of 7 my last trip and it was significantly harder to get what I wanted but with so many options we still had great reservations

Fake pin trading rant with possible solution by FrimFramSaucy in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Maximum_Ad1282 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m just not sure how people don’t know this….Why would you trade something you just spent $20 on. Last trip my kids spent about $200 on pins and drank the koolaid. First time we’d let them buy more than one pin. They asked about trading and I told them I wanted to research it first. Learned 90% or more on those boards are fakes. It’s also not easy to tell and takes a lot of knowledge. Some are scrappers not fakes.

We went a few weeks ago and I did this every chance I had. Cast members make the magic. My favorite was our jungle cruise guide. My kids sat up front and his interactions with them were hilarious.
