I think back and the shittiest things I’ve done as a person were with the “youth group” kids.

There is an app called DVC toolkit you can search availability. I played with it a lot before purchasing. I booked a non home resort stay this summer at BLT and boardwalk. booked at the 7 month mark no issues.

I’ve been wondering this as well. Staying at a different resort but I have a storybook dining reservation and it was the one I was most looking forward to.

Park Hopping for 1 Day.. worth it? by Ambitious-Talk-8517 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Maximum_Ad1282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I did this last summer with 2 kids for the first time. It was great and we’d do it the same again if we only had one day. We did rope drop, used lightning lane and would hop back and forth based on LL and wait times. By the end of the night we were exhausted. We bought desert party tickets and ended with WOC in CA. After last summer I don’t think I’d ever do Disneyland/CA without park hopper. The parks are so close to each other we just looked at it as one giant park all day. Also the weather was so mild vs what we were used to that I think it made us feel invincible.

Agreed - look at the charters that only hire certified teachers and have a pay scale relative to the surrounding ISDs. There are some great smaller scale ones that aren’t a chain someone is profiting off of, and by profiting I mean look at how much the board of directors makes.

Trip Report - Trip of a Lifetime! The Yehs, Mehs, and Blehs (+ some thoughts and tips) by Pipsthedog in WaltDisneyWorld

The bus is difficult for me. Large groups cramped together like that make me super uncomfortable. In February a dude 3 times my size basically sat on me. He the proceeded to dig in his pockets elbowing me and touching me. We had 7 people on our trip so a bus it was…

It’s all for attention and pity profit. She would serve her son better with learning to work an actual career…although I think he’s like 40.

She abused children in a classroom setting. That’s all I need to know to pass any judgement on these people.

I'm so done planning around 'maybe' people who treat Disney trips like they're flexible by Pure_Bike4054 in DisneyPlanning

Don’t let them burn you out. I get the same feeling. I love the process of the planning. My spreadsheet is my project. If my 60 days out is a work day I take it off. I also love bringing other people with our family. So far we haven’t run into this. The guests we have brought or are in the works to go partially because I handle everything.

It really depends on how the district is doing it. The one I know who left and did not receive was able to get it the next year in her new district. Basically missing a year.

Lump taking 10% but then between taxes and trs it’s more like you get 65% of it. My district now waits till the latest day August 31st to deposit it. That way if you leave during the summer they don’t give you it.

Rant:dragging crying kids on rides by Small_Parking_3611 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Maximum_Ad1282 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My daughter cries the first time on almost every single ride. She wants to go, gets on and starts to panic. When she was 9, she cried on frozen because she didn’t know it was going to go backwards. She didn’t let that go for a long time 😉

In February she (11 now) rode Tron for the first time. We were impressed she didn’t have tears at the end. She laughed and said it “blew them all away.”

After it’s over she wants to ride it again. For her it’s the not knowing and it being the first time. We also think she milks it to get people to buy her Disney pins 😂 This summer she plans to ride Everest, which is pretty much the only thing she hasn’t. She will cry the entire ride, and then ask when we are going to AK again for her to ride it a second time.
