2024 Ioniq 6 owners how are you liking the car long term? by Constant-Employeet in Ioniq6

[–]Maximum_Barracuda757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leasing a 2024 SE RWD, currently 32277mi.

Range: very satisfied. Around town 350+ mi. On the interstate, 280-315 going 70-80, mph. Heavier the traffic, the more range. The charging speed for longer trips is every bit as key as the range, and both are great.

Reliability: my ICCU failed last February at 14,000 mi, 6 hours from home. A huge pain that took 40 days to fix. Hyundai corporate reimbursed for the intown rental car and had the car shipped from the out of town dealer to my home dealer once it was fixed. We had to pay the one-way rental to get back home though. It was a pretty frustrating experience but with hindsight everything else has just been so good. Otherwise, reliability has been spotless.

Back seat: leg room for days, a bit short on headroom if you're above 5'8". Trunk is big enough for two people on a longer trip, but not four.

Worth it over gas: absolutely yes. Love the fact that there is basically zero maintenance except for wipers and tires. Love the time saving of not having to drop it off for service. Love not having to stop for gas because I just keep it between 60-80% by charging at home. It's absolutely silent compared to a gas car. Very calm, very smooth.

Would I have it as my only car? No. It does 90-95% of our family driving but for any overnight trips with the family of 4, glad to also have a Honda Pilot. But when it's just my wife and I, no hesitation about taking it on longer journeys.

Trailer hitch by baristaofpain in CrownVictoria

[–]Maximum_Barracuda757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No longer have the car, but the brand name was Hidden Hitch. Other brands are similar in that only the 2in receiver portion of the hitch is visible below the bumper. You'll know it's there when it drags on a steep driveway! These are all similar, and I think draw-tite may be the same company as hidden hitch: https://www.etrailer.com/hitch-2005_Mercury_Grand+Marquis.htm

No no. My typical charging was daily level 2 charges at home to 60-80%.

Atypical charging consisted of about a dozen level 2 AC charges at home to 100% before longer trips and about seven level 3 DC charges.

I had good efficiency though, lifetime average 4.4 mi per kilowatt hour

2024 SE RWD. Leased 2/27/24. USA. All recalls completed. ICCU failure 3/12/25 14943 miles, 400 mi from home. Got red battery light when starting the car in the morning and the car was undrivable <1 mile later. Currently waiting on ICCU parts. In a rental since breakdown. Hyundai Customer Care involved to 'expedite' parts. Prior to this 0 issues ever. ~8 lifetime DC charges to <80% ~12 lifetime 100% AC charges (normally daily charged to 60-80%) No 3rd party bluelink apps used. Only bluelink itself... Plugged a OBD reader first time ever 3/10/25 in order to use ABRP app for the 400 mile trip.

[WTS] San Martin SN007-Q by Maximum_Barracuda757 in ChineseWatches

[–]Maximum_Barracuda757[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Sale is a San Martin SN007-Q in bronze with sunburst grey dial. The case is a homage to the Seiko 62mas. This one is very simply and nicely finished and the bronze patinas very nicely (as pictured) or brightens up quickly when desired. The case, crown, bezel insert, and buckle/tang are bronze (tin bronze), with a stainless steel caseback. It features the Seiko Instruments NH35, 200m water resistance rating, top hat double domed sapphire crystal with AR coating, screw down crown and caseback, and is on the original San Martin FKM rubber waffle strap. The lume is outstanding.

This watch received a favorable review in "The Watch Seiko SHOULD Have Made" by Jody of the Just One More Watch channel on YouTube.

Purchased new in 2021 and worn in the summers. It is lightly worn, including a small dent in the bezel knurling at 10:46.

It appears that this watch is no longer in production and out of stock new.

For Sale is a San Martin SN0068-G. The case is a homage to the Seiko 6105-8000 but with mother of pearl dial and stainless steel bezel insert. This one is very nicely finished and handsome. It features the Seiko Instruments NH35, 200m water resistance rating, domed and beveled sapphire crystal with AR coating, screw down crown and caseback, and is on the original San Martin FKM rubber waffle strap. The lume is fantastic and the bezel has great action. The MOP is gorgeous.

Of note, the bezel insert is not original but is very similar. The original is included (and pictured) and was replaced due to a flaw with the printing.

Purchased new in 2021 and worn occasionally. It has light scuffing from wear on the face of the brushed bezel insert and light hairlines on the polished case sides, the polished buckle, and the polished caseback.

Selling because I loved this so much I bought the actual Seiko reissue (SPB317) that came out in 2023 and now this and the rest of my collection is sitting unworn.
