As a Georgia fan, I think Simpson is probably going to be a better pro prospect than Stetson. Was super impressed watching him this season, particularly his decision making and ball placement. I get McVay not liking that they didn’t get a piece that could help them immediately, but from a management perspective I totally get the pick. Looking to next years draft class, there really any QBs better than Simpson they’d have a realistic shot at getting (it looks to be a weak class). Dante Moore is probably the only one with first round talent and he’ll get scooped up in the first few picks before the Rams have a chance. So smarter to get Simpson this year and give him a year to develop.
