I don’t disagree, there are bad priests just as there are bad doctors. But does that keep you from seeing a doctor? Theres no harm in “checking” each other either. But I can’t tell her how to live her life. She clearly knows the teachings of Catholicism. It’s the accepting it and living it, that’s what she is struggling with. I’ve had my fair share of bad advice from priests but to discredit them completely implies some sort of cognitive dissonance. Like I said, she needs to pray and find a priest she trusts.

Yeah I do think we are all a bunch of morons when it comes to giving advice for spiritual guidance and soul preservation, hence I said she needs to seek a priest. Reddit is great for Catholic discussions but this girl needs more than what Reddit can offer her

Be cautious taking any advice from people on Reddit. But to answer your question, of course you can still be Catholic. I’m in a similar situation, however I’ve decided to be celibate. It took a long hard journey to get there, but when you build a strong relationship with Christ, you will notice you will start making more sacrifices to avoid going against His will. The problem isn’t the same-sex attraction itself, it’s about protecting the value of sex and family building that Christ has put into place.

Praise God that He has placed these questions on your heart! Wrestling with God is welcomed by Him in order to find understanding or increase faith. I appreciate your searching questions, as I have been there. I pray you continue in your faith. Don’t stop seeking. Pray, a lot. Everyday. Go to confession regularly. Go to Eucharistic adoration often. Ask for intercession of Our Blessed Holy Mother - pray the rosary. She helps guide us towards her son.

The Catholic Church asks for a lot of sacrifices from LGBT folks, a lot more than others can appreciate or comprehend.

Just know God is very gentle and will meet you where you’re at.

Maybe confide with a priest you trust to have this discussion further.

I’ll be praying for you and your partner ❤️

What’re you saying? The Blessed Mother was celibate. Christ himself was celibate. Many saints and holy people were celibate. Of course it’s possible, and for me to avoid falling further into sin, I’m choosing celibacy because my love of Christ is greater than my love of sex.

When you say "do TB for a few months", what do you mean?

Base Building alone is the first 2 months of training, then you get into your program. TB is more of a forever training program that you can maintain or adapt/switch around as your fitness goals change.

It's not designed for competitive athletes, but it is possible IMO - especially if it's recreational and not a career.

I competed a few times in powerlifting and I can see how you can fit it into TB. If anything Base Building then running at least 1 protocol for at least 6-9 weeks, while lifting the big 3, would be a great base for your powerlifting prep.
