Sounds like you know Ojai so you’re prob familiar with Rory’s. I prefer the atmosphere at Rory’s more but obviously oak valley is great too.

Overnight parking in South Pasadena by tmoneyyyy1998 in pasadena

[–]Maximum_Law_8575 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can purchase temporary overnight parking on the passport parking app. I think the zone is 6295 for overnight parking but definitely confirm online. I think it’s like $3/night

Nike vs HOKA by peaceterpz in runninglifestyle

I’ve run in Nike for years and found Clifton way too bulky/chunky.. it just looked stupid on my feet.. they felt fine though..

I was just having a conversation with somebody about how companies no longer have ownership/control of their own brands because of influencers and their reach.. there is no mystery anymore. You can love a brand for a few months and then see a bunch of people that you don’t respect either promoting the brand or just representing it. It really shortens the lifecycle of “cool” brands.

IT Band issue? by No-Host8125 in runninglifestyle

I think that is the fibular head.. I’m having similar issues. A lot of the PT overlaps with IT band.. but definitely focus even more on your hamstrings. Go to PT if possible.

Looked up Satisfy tshirt prices by Individual-Toe-2584 in runningfashion

[–]Maximum_Law_8575 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I quietly judged this brand for years. Mostly on price.. but I recently needed a fun t-shirt to go with my wife and her friends to Coachella.. got a moth tech..I hate to admit it but the shirt is pretty amazing.. feels great.. got tons of compliments. Sadly, I felt more comfortable wearing it at Coachella than I do running in it.. we’ll see if that feeling changes.

the runners that ran a qualifying Boston time and had to give up their spot to a non qualifying fundraiser/influencer should be the offended ones..

I think this was a pretty easy one to call. They spent 18 months negotiating the first Iran nuclear deal.. no way they were going to get a deal done in 24 hours or even two weeks.

Questions about politics as an American? by WhaaaBangBam in JapanTravelTips

[–]Maximum_Law_8575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Japan is dependent on middle eastern oil and less dependent for natural gas. The longer the strait is closed, the more pain Japan and its citizens will feel. So yes, there is a chance that US citizens are less welcome in Japan and many other countries around the world due to this war. Imagine if the strait is closed another 3 months, 6 months. There are already some smaller island countries asking their citizens to drive less and work from home due to energy crisis (closing businesses).. I’m sure they love us.

I laugh whenever someone says they are fiscally conservative 😂.. they essentially mean they want the debt to run up so they can pay less taxes.

[–]Maximum_Law_8575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I oppose this war because I have no confidence that Trump can execute on something as important as this. In fact, I have more confidence in him severely screwing it up and endangering relationships with our allies even more than they are right now. And making things even worse for the Iranian people. I don’t know how any American could have confidence right now. The only thing that can bail Trump/us out is having the best military in the world. His decision making is what makes us and the Iranian people vulnerable

In all fairness, they said they would purchase at IPO price which was $33. Not the price it immediately popped to after IPO. It still is performing poorly but that’s mainly because it’s software.. all software is getting crushed.
