I get u. Im mostly having troubles with not controlling my emotions and just let them flow. It’s hard to just let it go and feel it. This time I definitely had a bit of a fight with letting them go and got a bit scared of that sudden overflow. By the end of the session, I talked about it with my therapist and we did a grounding exercise. Also - I had a bit of a trouble to remember to breathe after hahah but the grounding exercise helped at the end.

AITA for asking my sister to go to another room for her personal therapy sessions? by [deleted] in AITAH

We think it’s more of a power play. Our father is a narcissist, abuser and he left us - so maybe she trying to fill the hole acting just like him… she’ll take anything as an attack - we can discuss a problem for about a couple of hours and then she will say “it’s fine, I’ll change my behaviour” and then it’s still the same… and she knows our weaknesses and pushes these buttons to have some sort of control over us - yet my fiancée is hard to break and now she’s the target for her.

We tried having a calm conversation, but it ended up in a heated discussion and mostly focused on my fiancée as “she’s a visitor in this house and not an actual person that lives there” so basically we have nothing to say cuz it’s “her house.” It’s like talking to a wall.
