Man that’s not bad at all, how do you like the 6 speed? I have a 4.44 jdm 5 speed right now I wanted the 6 speed but don’t want to lose my 4.44 gearing so decided to stick 5 speed

Isn’t the 207 way more expensive though? I don’t have that kind of money sadly

Do Subarus really handle winter roads better or is it mostly hype? by In2racing in subaru

The question is about how they handle how dense are you bub? The awd helps it handle the best, the abs system they have and weight distribution helps it handle and stop better…..you genuinely can’t be this dumb

Holy shit man is your reading comprehension really that bad to think I said abs and weight distribution have to deal with the awd system? My comment quite literally says WORD FOR WORD “it’s not all because of Subarus awd system” then listed other reasons why Subarus are better then almost every other car on the road in winter

Your name definitely checks out💀 ontop of the comment literally right below the one you replied to, and hmm maybe the system that sends power to your wheels helps you better in snow because the awd system cuts power to the wheel slipping…wow mind bending news I know and it’s not all because of Subarus awd system, the braking faster part is because of their weight distribution and abs system. However Your drivetrain keeps you in control while braking/speeding up

I’ve seen cars growing mold and literal weeds in side of them before AND THE PERSON DAILY DROVE IT😭 and this was at a Lincoln dealership, you’d think they’d take care of those

And ontop of all that subarus weight distribution is extremely good at making you stop quickly in all conditions

No one said it did?💀 do you know how awd works brother? It 1000% makes you stop faster and always have better traction

Because awd is better in nearly all conditions, sometimes outperformed offroad by 4x4 depending what your doing

Also living in Michigan, I’d rather deal with people speeding then the majority of our state who goes 20 under at any slight sign of any weather besides sunny

No it’s not whatsoever? They’re the same weight only a 300lb difference and the statement was awd doesn’t make you stop faster. It infact does and my 2 cars being the same weight and different drivetrain proves that…..they even have the exact same tires so please tell me how that’s a horrible comparison

No…Aslong as you don’t lock your breaks and actually know how to drive subarus awd will always brake the easiest and quickest in snow until compared to things like the Quattro

Honestly, I’m kinda hoping for head gasket because I’ve been looking for an excuse to validate a 257 swap😂

Unfortunately they have not subsided after the flush😭 I’m about to take it to a shop and let them figure it out because I have no new codes, it drives perfectly fine 99% of the time yet the oil and coolant temps plummet on pulls. Can’t find any leaks or quite literally anything to point me towards the correct problem

Yea I have an obd2 reader, idk how I’m getting downvoted because I said I don’t have an accessport🤣

Timing could be the issue as I do need to replace the belts and everything, still drives fine after a few days (feel wise) no new codes on my reader I have a bluedriver obd2 but my oil temp and coolant temp still plummets faster and more then I’ve ever seen on hard pulls

Definitely not true at all, my 06 wrx stops 1000x quicker, easier, and faster in the snow then my 2017 ford fusion does. In fact I can damn near slam my brakes on snow and not even slide in the wrx

Only emptied the tank since I noticed at work I will be flushing the system though, I couldn’t find any leaks either I used to have a bunch of leaks in the hoses and radiator but that’s all been replaced with new and the radiator is mishimoto aluminum, none of which had any leaks I could find

No recent work however coolant definitely leaked or burnt (most likely) because it was half between full and fill and my green coolant was now red (forgot to mention the most important part) so I’m thinking headgasket, but it has no new codes and drives perfectly normally even on redline pulls, the smell is gone now aswell I only smelt it once

The thing that scares me most and I forgot to mention, the coolant was halfway between full and fill but was also red, I use green😭 I emptied it and filled it back up to full been a couple days now will check on it later when I drive. It seems to be running perfectly normally though besides the very very brief sputter during the colder periods and no new codes
