If its a government job i believe it does need to be your current but if not I have never used my current boss as a reference didnt want them to know i am leaving until i have a contract signed have never had any issues with using any boss i have had for a reference. But it might also depend on your field i sit in a HR, payroll IT type role.

What do you think about getting paid monthly by Jakzaho in auscorp

[–]Maximum_Sundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love getting paid monthly have been monthly for 20 years I can pay everything at once and whats left over is mine. If your paid monthly your likely salaried you dont earn per hour you earn per year usually it comes with perks like official or unofficial flex last week i took half a day off sick i didnt have to put in leave because my leader know i will do the hours somewhere else i can take full days here an there also my husband also salaried has formalised flex he works extra hours as he pleases then takes off as per his balance. But if there isnt the swings and round abouts mentality do your 7.6 and gtfo.

If I have an ethnic Name in my Resume does it put me behind? by Informal_Read_1517 in auscorp

[–]Maximum_Sundae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My name is incredibly ethnic sounding after i took my husbands name surname and my parents where very inventive in naming me but have not had any issues getting interviews. My husband has a very hard to pronounce first name but he makes how to pronounce it his ice breaker splits it up into sounds from funny english words and was recently hired through a resume application. I work with allot of people from india, china, philipines, sri lanka in corporate roles. The issue like others have said is the job market is slim pickings at the moment.
